I'm almost positive that lyrium is due to the souls of the Dwarves going to the Stone, or something similar to that (I have many theories, some I've said here before). The Anvil of the Void was hooked up to lyrium and if you challenge Branka on it the thing apparently "trapped" any souls that were forged into Golems on it. Further, the Spirit Forge from just before the Anvil of the Void was also hooked up to the lyrium veins throughout the cavern and it managed to churn out Dwarven souls to fight us.

It would also explain maybe how Red Lyrium could be blighted. Lyrium is alive (we knew this from DAO and DAII) and the legends of the Golems being animated by the souls of the dead no doubt owe themselves to the Primeval Thaig's Golems.

The question then becomes... how did the lyrium get tainted? What did the PT Dwarves do that tainted their lyrium? I have so many ideas on what they did, but we know so little about Primeval Thaig culture other then that the Dwarves there were no doubt mages and worshipped the Titans, more then likely.

There are several theories debated for centuries :P , say the Red Lyrium would be the real source of blight, I really have no theory about it, the red Lyrium is quite old so it tells us, so must have appeared even before the blights.

This. Is.  AWESOME!!!!

I remember you mentioning a while back that you were going to do something with pics of our dwarves, but I totally forgot about it until now.  This is so damned cool.  I love seeing all of the Cadash Inquisitors together.  It's like a Cadash Carta Reunion!

What does it say that my favorite isn't even my own?  It's that damned bad-ass Judy Dench dwarf.  God, I love her!

I think the blood of the tainted Kal-Sharok dwarves has something to do with the Red Lyrium being blighted. I don't think the Anvil or Golems has anything to do with Red Lyrium.

Or we can go back to Berserker dwarves having something to do with the Red Lyrium. Think about it. The Red Lyrium drives people mad, and they slowly begin to lose control of themselves. That's basically what happens to a Berserker.

Oh I wasn't saying the Anvil or Golems have to do with red lyrium, just that the Anvil and Golems have a connection to Lyrium being the souls of Dwarves -- at least on a foundational level for a theory.

Though it is worth pointing out that Meredith made Golems without the need for a volunteer when she animated the statues in the Gallows. So like I said, lyrium's probably the souls of Dwarves. Essentially a Philosopher's Stone? Or something of the sort.

Got this from the wiki about berserkers- anger clouds one's mind and forces a warrior to make foolish and often fatal mistakes.

In Emprise Du Lion, Cole says that the Red Lyrium is angry.

I just can't wait until they unravel this mystery. I wonder what the mass would think about Lyrium actually being dwarves…. Once again, people will rely on dwarves for more than their "fix," but actually being one with them, since people consume Lyrium.

Cole's comments say a lot about the Dwarves, in fact. He says that the Dwarves sing an old song, and Templars also tap into it. So there's something there. Something about lyrium being the souls of dead Dwarves, or housing their connection to the Fade, or something.

Lyrium's also called the "blood of the earth" in one codex where a sculptor met a Golem with free will in Archon Ishal's time.

And the Lyrium Idol Fragment ended up thinning the Veil in Bartrand's house (the atrocities he committed certainly didn't help) and a strange Golem creature came out of it. Fenris notes that "many thousands of deaths" had to have done it, if not powerful magic, while Anders is skeptical that it could've been torn that badly just by Bartrand's stuff.

But I'm just rambling now, commenting on random things that pop in my head :P

And as the Avvars entered in this culture? would only be a copy-founded? If the dwarves of Kal-Sharok resist today against the darkspawn alone should be for that Berserk culture. Anger can be good to fight darkspawn. The Lyrium be alive because of the dwarves, interesting. And Lyrium and that is in the FADE?

If that's the case then instances of lyrium addicts chasing down dwarves with nets might become a common sight.

So can we just confirm for ourselves that dwarves and Lyrium are the same. The dwarves souls return back to the stone, which is basically the  Lyrium. Blue and Red Lyrium sings to the people, but Red just makes people do the wrong thing. Red Lyrium can turn people into red Lyrium, so we know that people can become Lyrium.

The blood of the earth is related to the dwarves, so I'm guessing their blood.

Keep on rambling!  :P

Ha! You are more than welcome to have her. It's pretty easy to recreate her -- I mainly just changed the nose, face shape, and raised the jaw. The rest was left on default settings. Sliders below for your info:

I also vote two-hander! Always looks badass on a dwarf.

(Even though my own dwarf warrior is going to be sword-and-board. Planning for him to romance Bull, and I don't need two guys with giant weapons in the party. So to speak.)

Also, happy two hundred pages of dwarfing, all! Here's to two hundred more.
