Welllll, yes and no, but mostly no. There isn't a dwarf throne we can acquire via judgment (assuming that we need to judge a dwarf to get it that way). There is a dwarf throne model in the game that's reused throughout the Hissing Wastes tombs and Valammar. There's also one parked at the table where Varric hangs out in Skyhold. It's mostly just decoration.

Hello my fellow dwarves, hope you are all well? Sorry for me being M.I.A....been busy with work and I'm moving countries in about 2-4 months, so its all crazy atm haha Update: I'm on the last mission with Durin And for my 3rd PT I'm going to have a tiny break from playing a dwarf (don't know what's wrong with me) think the 3rd one, has to be a different race but you never know.......the stone will most likely bring me back to my dwarven kin!  I've made a Human Rouge called Talion and here he is

 

 

 

 

 

Wanted to give Talion the Dornish feel....wished we had more hair and beards or just have styles for different races only Durin (Last PT) really needed the true dwarven style. But I hope you liked my Human P.s I have the weekend off, so I'll be keeping in touch on the forum

I've finally made a Qunari mage(3rd play-through also) that I've taken a liking to, so maybe he won't make me restart as another dwarf. I plan on having Cassandra, Iron Bull, and Sera. I heard that there is a banter between Iron Bull and Cassandra about her falling for another Qunari, after turning him down.

About to fire up a female Cadash for a Seramance(who I used to despise, but now she's grown on me). I'm thinking of using the British accent instead of the American one because I think it fits her looks better, and I personally think Alix's voice is the best.

I like AWR's voice for my dwarf rogue. It suits her as a bit less aggressive than my warrior.

I used AWR for my first dwarf and loved it. For me it just comes down to personality.l because I think they're both great, just different flavors. have SM's voice on my Brosca recreation, because it fits her better...she's calmer, more dry in her humor, and world weary.

also re: thrones, i've been watching the mod tools, and i think it may be possible someday (idk how far away because its in its infancy but it seems to make huge strides every week), to replace one of the existing thrones with that dwarven one that's laying around

 

i'd love to eventually be able to replace one of the decors with a Dwarven decor. there are probably enough assets even just in the game to do it without having to create anything or dig back to origins

Quick question, amigos: across every game, what are your favorite characters to pair with a dwarf Warden/Inquisitor? Are there story reasons for that, or do you just think they're cute together? Is there anybody that you really don't like romancing with a dwarf PC?

I was just thinking about dwarf-exclusive content in the romances (e.g., Alistair's comment about his height, Leliana kneeling for smooches, Zev's different kisses, Sera's comments about how cute/adorable/smooshy Inky is, various bits with Blackwall...) and yeeaahh it just got me wondering.

I can spin about any love interest to be "most interesting" to me with a dwarf, lmao. 

 

I love Brosca/Alistair, because he treats her she's a princess and he's a blushing servant, and considering her background, it's like, awwww. (although my Brosca/Alistair ends v sadly because she spares Loghain but for me that contrast there was also very interesting...Brosca's street earned pragmatism and search for redemption in dark areas with Alistair's naive, but so so genuine idealism....part of the reason she fell for him, and part of the reason it didn't work).

 

I've written about this before too, but I think it's a shame Solas was race gated because I prefer him with Cadash soooo much. There's a mod out already that releases those race gates and I'm gonna use it with my Brosca recreation, lmao, although uh, keeping that on the d/l because of the wankstorm the other mod caused.

 

But vanilla game, I do really love Blackwall/Cadash because of the parallels between them.

OH, and duh, another one I posted about a lot back in the day in this thread, but I love Dorian/Cadash too. The race specific dialogue between them is great and puts them as allies in kind of solidarity, which is freaking great.

I haven't played a dwarf yet but if I get to it, she'll romance Sera.

 

I think I have three playthroughs sitting on hold I still need to finish (one human, elf, qunari)....I might as well start a dwarf so I have one of each waiting on me to finish them lol.

Oh, man, if you had asked this back in Origins, I'd have scoffed at the idea of a dwarf romancing outside of the race. It wasn't a height thing. It was a snob thing. Alistair's response really paved the way from an "us vs them" to a "we're all in this together" mindset. So, of course, now I find matching romances safe and boring. If a dwarf romance gets added at some point, I'm gonna laugh because I'll finally get my chance to play a human that romances a dwarf -- role reversal! =p

 

 

I like all romances available for dwarves so I can't really recommend one over the other, but I find that I generally prefer ones that acknowledge the racial differences instead of treating it as the elephant in the room. (Iron Bull doesn't do this, but he makes it absolutely clear that race/height/gender does not matter to him in the first place.)

I've always loved the idea of Dorian/Cadash! Totally "mundane" (uh, until the glowy hand bit) dwarf with an Altus mage makes me put my trololol face on. Plus, Dorian's comments about dwarves in Tevinter are interesting, and I like the idea of him adorably resting his elbows on Cadash's head~

I'm not quite finished but so far I really love it. I can see where people could find it, like, condescending? on Sera's part (she thinks the fact that dwarves are short is hilarious), but honestly her comments toward any of the races (minus human, maybe) could be considered kind of problematic. I think dorf ladies get the best of it, though, 'cause she's always going on about how cute you are, how squishy/smooshy/twee, etc. Feels a little less sexualized than her comments toward qunari ladies and also less, uhh, mean than what she has to say about elves.

And I'm with you--if we ever get a dwarf romance (say...Harding?) I'll be really torn between playing a human (height difference, I get to be on this end for once!) or a dwarf (bc DWARVES).

If you'd have asked me five years ago what I thought of dwarves with non-dwarves... yeah. Wasn't even on the table back then. Now I can't get enough!

Noble cause! I really just got to Haven, but haven't did much beyond that because of school. Yep! That banter happens after you've initiated the romance and Iron Bull flirting with Cassandra in banter.

Yea I really don't like playing with mages, but I'll try it with the new "race" I guess. I tried playing as two character as once, but one always make me want to play them more.

My Qunari is a nerd about the dwarven lore, and finds the people fascinating. He made friends with some dwarves back in childhood, but has also worked with them on runs. They make excellent explosion, which makes his job easier when he's trying not to use his magic in front of the common people.

I would hope a game, instead of a small scale DLC. Kal-Sharok is interesting, and I would hope that it gets the same attention that Orzammar did, which was in a full game.
