I've not yet seen/been able to make a good looking male dwarf in Origins yet. Has anyone had any luck?

I think it's pretty obvious a lot people thought Varric (though DA2) was pretty good looking. I actually liked a lot of the ones I met in Origins, though.

Oh, I like this idea! Or maybe a political mover and shaker?

Now THAT would be interesting! Maybe a dwarven prince, or a topsider who wants surface dwarves to have more say in local politics?

How my sexy Dwarves at?

If you could design a Dwarf LI for a DLC pack for DA:I, how would this person look/be like?

I always thought  Zoltan Chivay From the witcher 2 was pretty awesome! Also most of the dwarves in the hobbit are pretty awesome too!

Anyway I would want a surfacer, class is not important and he would have to be clever, sarcastic and have a great sense of humor so in a sense varric but with a beard "and" the chest hair soooooo Blackwall idk lol (yes I know BW is a LI but it still counts lol)

I haven't been able to hear either voice enough to really decide. I'm leaning toward the British VA first, then alternating between them in PTs.

I'll probably go with British on both of my dwarves, male and female.

Mostly because the idea of a snarky dwarven brit is kind of entertaining.  :P

British male voice on my Dwarven warrior for the win! (I'll probably choose british female later for a qunari, but that's off-topic)

I'll also be going with the British accent! I guess we're all going to stick out, because the dwarves usually have American accent.

Imagine the snark options <3 I'll be Varric's snark partner.... ala Shep/Garrus

got a template?

I'm going female, rogue/ tempest spec, Brit VA, light path

I mean, really a dwarf is interesting, since they have such an outsider's view on the whole magic thing

I did, manly looking by all accounts but i deleted him shortly after, such a vision of manly burliness should never be witnessed by the surfacer's least they go mad from jealously and declare a exalted march to wipe out the Dwarves and take their men folk for sex slaves.

I'm thinking about choosing the English accent for dwarf warrior inquisitor, but only because it's closer to a Scottish accent than the American accent is.

i can hear the Female American Actor working well for a female Dwarf, as I know this actresses other works and she always gives a pretty commanding presence to her voice. Can't wait. My Elf and Human will use the English Accent, and my Dwarf and Qunari will use the American Accent.

To be honest, I haven't heard much of the inquisitor voices. For males (which my dwarf would be), I know one of the voice actors was Zevran's VA, but I haven't heard him talk about the Antivan accent. I think the British male inquisitor talks at the end of one video. "Whatever we were before, we are now the Inquisition."

I know the female voices are going to awesome, though. I've heard Alix Wilton Regan. I've loved her voice since Mhairi in DA:A. I know Sumalee was Nyreen in ME3.

I'm gonna be using the American voice for my female Dwarf (Bow) Rogue. Very much looking forward to her playthrough.

Since Cadash is on the surface, there's no reason they might not have the local accents instead of Orzammar's. Admittedly Sumalee's voice would probably be more consistent for a dwarf, but I'll end up going with whichever VA is putting the right personality into the voice. I already know I like Alix Wilton Reagan's voice (I liked Ser Cauthrien in DAO), but she may be too mild for Zhenya's personality and might be better for my human mage (my second PT).

I'm going to be using British. I get Alix Wilton Regan as a PC voice. Nothing's getting in the way of that.

Cadash was still raised around the Carta family most likely. Would of picked up the Dwarf way of talking.

I really don't think accents mean much in this series, lol. Bodahn is a dwarf with a Cockney accent, the elves have had American, Irish, and Welsh accents...

I will go with whatever voice suits that character's personality and age.

Oh hell yes Sigrun FTW

Sigrun or Dagna would have both been fine as romance options.

Except we don't know how long the Cadash family has been on the surface or where they've lived; second or third generation usually picks up the local accent.  I'll go with whichever VA fits Zhenya's personality best since there can be justification for going with either accent, and as Vertigomez says, DA accents are pretty inconsistent anyway so there's no reason people can't headcannon their own reasons for one or the other.

Fair enough! And yeah, likely the same with my Dwarf Goldrin. I'll likely go with the American accent... Whichever is the deeper voice.

I will live in constant sadness that I can't have Merrill or Marethari's accent.
