I didn't get the impression that Gaider had any hangups either. All the stuff he's written has been pro-dwarf (the most recent example is Dorian cheering dwarves on breaking stereotypes and Dorian gives out approval if you choose the dwarf-specific dialogue when becoming Inquisitor at Skyhold). Sometimes his snark just gets taken the wrong way and he laughs at that stuff, which fans the flames. And didn't Weekes write Iron Bull? Iron Bull was the one making all these observations about dwarven tombs in the Hissing Wastes which was way more than Varric's "hell if I know" commentaries.
@Cespar -- Do you mean Jennifer Hepler? She did the lion's share of dwarf content back in DAO and I had a feeling that her departure probably created a void that wasn't able to be filled. I mean, if you asked me a question about dwarves, I'd be more knowledgeable than most. If you asked me anything about elves, I'd just blink and sweat profusely.
