Yup! Basically if you see a Skyhold NPC with a unique outfit and they're not a trainer, they're probably a DAMP character. I don't recognize them all by look, because I DAMPed very briefly, but I know the Katari (a unique Qunari) appears outside of Cullen's office too.

I just loaded up DAMP and it turns out I did have enough to unlock Luka, so I did. I didn't play much DAMP before it crashed and I don't find DAMP fun enough tosit through a bunch of crashes (unless I'm playing with friends) so I didn't bother going back, but I heard two banter lines from her and they were both about mushrooms.
I guess she ate a lot of them when she was trapped underground. She kept talking about how much she wanted to find some lichens, and I was playing with an Arcane Warrior, who awkwardlw as like "well...if that's what you want, you should do it."
I wish I had more friends who played DAMP and didnt care about the actual playing because I find teh characters delightful and their banter hilarious but the actual playing it part is a snore. ![]()

I haven't even tried multiplayer yet. I've been too busy with single player.
That, and I don't really play Dragon Age for combat but for the story so I usually play on normal in terms of difficulty.

I've played a little MP, mostly as Korbin (I don't play DA for the MP, and certainly don't play it seriously, but it's fun to be silly with friends sometimes.)

I didn't do the MP when it came out for Mass Effect. Heard great things about it from friends, but as long as it stays separate from the main game, I'm happy either way. I gave up MMOs because I needed to be able to walk away from the computer on demand to deal with my young kids. That was actually why I started playing DAO since it was a stand-alone game that I could pause anytime without making others wait on me. (Now if they would just let us pause cutscenes as well, that would be great. =p)

SP is definitely a lot simpler with small children or other frequent unexpected interruptions. I wish a few of the longer sequences had had breaks where you could save or at least a way to pause.
On a different topic, my old lady memory is kicking in this morning. What is the name of the card game Oghren played with the Noble Hunters?

Hey there fellow shortarses, regarding the characters you can spot in Skyhold, there is a rather strange one crouching in the grass near the stables (between the stables and the stair to the kitchen).
He/she got my attention because he/she look like a steampunk dwarf or a Warhammer dwarf, I have no screenshot to share so far. But I find him/her really cool looking. As I don't play MP I don't know if it's one of the playable characters.
I was always drawn to the craftsmen/ engineer side of the dwarves be it in mythology or fantasy, that's probably why I like Terry Pratchett and Warhammer dwarves so much.
How cool would it be to witness a few steam gyrocopter rising above the walls of Skyhold at dawn

Olwaye, that Dwarf you're seeing is probably the one who was in the Carta led by Rhatigan. She (I believe it's a she, IIRC) was trapped there after Hawke beat Corypheus, but managed to blow her way out of there by collecting things together.
Then the Inquisition recruited her.

That's Luka, and she was left behind when Hawke defeated the Carta.

Dunno if ya'll remember that I was a little disappointed that the aging I gave Reska didn't show up when I started playing her during the prologue:

I thought she looked late 20s instead mid 30s or older. Turns out, their lighting plays havoc with more subtle aging:

Because the aging is here. In fact she looks late 30s here, I think, much more like the CC. This one's even better for some of the lines near the mouth (spoilered if you don't want to see anything from the Blackwall romance:

Glad you do see the aging in some scenes. When I rerolled my main, I picked a complexion that had those thin red veins on the cheeks. I will see them once in a while in the game due to the various lights.
I hope you get pics of that. I'm glad I stuck with this one now; I almost deleted Reska because she looked too young, but I didn't think I could get the appearance right again if I tried to age her. Her age was the only thing I was unhappy with (well, that and the tattoos bleeding over the sideburns, lol.)

I like that different lights and angles give us a better look into our characters' feature. ![]()

Aww, thank you! I was really pleased with how she came out, even when I thought the aging had vanished.

Soo I made a Dwarf, Mace and Shield: This is Odane Cadash; Teammates are Blackwall, Sera and Solas. I was going for a Venerable Carta Enforcer, Did not succeed but I looked the look of him well enough.
He's a true Nord.

It's sad to say but my epic adventure with Edric Cadash has come to an end.
I had a great time with my dwarf inquisitor (as expected) It's great to have various races back b/c it does make for a unique experience as well as adding different layers to the game even if it was more limited this time around then in DA: Origins and required more Headcanon, it was still a blast. I'm already planning my second dwarf inquisitor who will be quite different then Edric.
I also enjoyed the added RP elements such as crafting a war axe (Anderfels cleaver schematic) and calling it "Brosca's Blessing," a gift from my dwarf warden to my dwarf inquisitor as well as making a 'Legion of the Dead armor' and RPing it was a gift from the Paragon house Brosca made by their finest smiths.
I'll leave you with some of Edric's choices:
Allied with the Templars
Put Gaspard on the throne
Specialization: Champion (it's good to be champion)
Romanced Cassandra (how could you not?)
Helped Cassandra become the Divine (Even if the Keep refuses to acknowledge this decision and continues to keep this tile hidden)
Main Party: Cassandra, Varric, Vivienne
I have pictures but not sure how to post them.
All in all, I'm really happy I found this thread and it's great to talk and share our dwarf enthusiasm. Here's hoping for more dwarf content in future Dragon Age content.

Atrast nal tunsha,
It's good to be a dwarf! You can upload your picture to postimage.org, and then copy the direct link. Put that link in the little picture symbol, which can be found at 7 o'clock from the smily face.

I am aware that recreating Thorin Oakenshield is, unfortunately, impossible in DAI. Is there a next best thing? I sort of want to play someone different from my "good guy" Qunari warrior.

I'm not good at recreating other characters, but I know a few of the others have done it. And welcome!
