We'll have dwarven mages one day!!!! The magic will return to everyone! Inquisitor Cadash was that half-way point that dwarves can have access to the fade/magic. I'll need to make another dwarf once Black Emporium comes out.

I think a lot of people are waiting for the Black Emporium right now. I'm going to have to try to recreate two of my dwarves because I realized I created them with the wrong WS (Reska and Zhenya are OK, but Vetra and Taina got Reska's WS by accident.) Once we have the Black Emporium, it'll be easy to tweak any mistakes in recreating their appearances.

I always thought that Daryl from The Walking Dead would be a great Cadash. Thug that ends up doing things for the greater good and wears a leather jacket with angel wings on the back for irony. =p

I think a lot of people are waiting for the Black Emporium right now. I like my Qunari Mage a lot, but the dwarves has its own personal spot in my heart. I'm really holding out for new schematic/look for the dwarf more than tweaking facial features.    I just finished my Qunari's background fan fiction, but now I really want to work on a new dwarven's background fan fiction.

Some of mine badly need the ability to tweak features, lol. Apparently most of my IQs have trouble with makeup.

Umm I may want to scratch something I'd said before  . I just made another dwarf who's going to wait at Haven until the BE, but I want to change his eyes up a little, lol.

Yeah I hate my canon dwarfs lip liner. I mean it actually grew on me and feels like a part of her character, that she's so tacky she wears much darker liner, but...I'm still gonna change it.

I don't know of any hints from the codex info they gave us.

Kind of hoping that's the kind of stuff we will get in WoT v2. Or at least some cool dwarf stuff.

I'm still confused why there wasn't this taken into account in the prologue, as everytime I play it as a dwarf it makes Cass seem kinda clueless that she needs Solas to tell her that the dwarf in front of them cannot do magic? You'd think that we or Varric would have had a smart alec comment to make about that?

I think the Venatori notes say that Paragon Fairel's tomb et. al. were built before the First Blight, but I don't remember which codex entry it was in.

Ugh....I've spent two days trying to create an epic Dwarf...but I wish we had more hair styles and race gated beards :/ Also off topic (sorry) did any of want more voice options? It would have been nice to have an Orlesian accent for example...I could just picture the Inquisitor sitting on his throne in Skyhold

I was pretty happy with the voice options. I didn't expect to have more than 2, tbh, so it's been nice having 4. I mean would I have taken more? Heck to the yes! But I'd rather any VA budgets stuff go to the already existing ones to give them more dwarf specific lines,

I won't lie....I really miss duel wield :/ I loved it back in Origins, where my Dwarf Warden was deadly with 2 Axes Hmm....throwing axes.....that could be something haha ***Goes to the tavern to drink his dream away*** xD

Of course, Blackwall insisted on going outside the barn in plain view of the merchants and rogue trainers, but there he was trying to kiss me while Dennet pops up behind his back (I was laughing too hard during the cutscene to get a screenshot while he was visible.) And Dennet's come shooting across the courtyard to stand by the haystack when I've kissed Blackwall.

Maybe he wants you to push Blackwall over him? Or maybe he's just curious about the dwarf ladies haha

Right I need help............I'm a Dwarven Warrior and I don't know who to have in my party :/ Do I go for Iron Bull, Cass or Blackwall as the 2nd Warrior? I'm having Varric as my rogue of course and finally, do I have Vive, Solas or Dorian as my mage? Thanks for taking the time to read this

Heh. Dennet is actually worse for the taller races because the camera pulls back so we can watch the human/elf/qunari stroke Blackwall's beard (dwarves just get the camera zooming in on their own faces instead) while Blackwall holds the Inquisitor's arm. That's where Dennet pops up in the background. I left Dennet in Hinterlands because I never felt right taking him away from his family when all he did was watch one lousy animal in Skyhold. (If they wanted him to be a real horsemaster, they should have had a real stable with all the mounts we've purchased actually showing up to fill the space.) Plus the added bonus of him not being around during the romance scenes. No Dennet means I can't buy the horses and hallas that he sells, but since I only ride nug mounts (obtained via the war table), this isn't an issue.

 

 

 

No Dennet anywhere! =p

 

 

@DwarfofOrzammar -- It really is up to you. I tend to change it up based on banter I want to hear. If you go with Blackwall, then avoid Viv as the mage because their banters are a real drag to listen to. Varric + Solas will yield some interesting dwarf conversations. Varric + Viv will center around the books he's writing and he will be inspired by Viv as a villain for his books. Iron Bull + Dorian will unlock their romance if you're not pursuing either. I'm not sure who Cassandra pairs up well with. I know that she and Varric will continue with their "dragged me against my will" line of conversation. Iron Bull is chill and gets along with just about anyone.
