Your dwarf doesn't need another dwarf to make him feel alive. I think Gilsa and I are the only people that likes the dwarf-human pairing. I wouldn't romance another dwarf with my dwarf. Except the Noble-Hunter, and that's because I was new to the game and didn't exactly know how I'd felt about things at that point.

Eh, I like that pairing too. :(

Hopefully, if Cassandra does not become Divine by a minimal chance, my Dwarfquisitor and her can have half-dwarf children. I'm sure no one would dare to pick on their children for being half-dwarf and half-human due to the backgrounds of their parents. The dwarf father was the Inquisitor, and the mother a Seeker. :) :wizard:

I headcanon Cass and Fjalar to have children as well. If I recall properly, half-dwarves are definitely taller than dwarves but smaller than humans. And yeah, with parents like that, I guess no one but idiots would dare to annoy Junior. :P

At least no one who'd ever met Cassandra would dare! :o :P

y'all aren't the only ones lmao. I love dwarf-human pairings. I love dwarf-elf pairings a lot too. dwarf-qunari, at least in terms of IB/Quizzie was a biiiit much for me but I'm not averse to it completely!

I would def romance a dwarf with another dwarf, but that's not the reason I would like a dwarf LI. :)

The IB/Cadash pairing required a suspension of disbelief on my part, but I really appreciated how they put in the overtime on the cutscenes so IB would be available to all races. I had tears streaming down my face when I saw that they put Cadash on a barrel in the end, like "well, f*** it, there's no way we can make it work" and they just owned it instead of doing the magical float. So I do appreciate the IB romance, despite the obvious physical incompatibility.

And I do like non-racial pairings, but frankly, I've grown uncomfortable with how much they've shrunken down the dwarf female model. I feel like elves got a lot more acceptable because they got taller. They get all the benefits of animations working better and people are more likely to accept the pairing. The dwarf male came through unscathed, but the dwarf female took a nosedive. They got even shorter and lost their overall width, which was the very thing that defined them as dwarves and made them look like believable tanks.

In Origins, the male and female were very nearly equals in terms of height and width. In Inquisition, you can see the difference with Bianca and Varric. She looks like a hobbit now.

dwarf-dwarf_zpsgbirx7mi.png

The dwarf female went up to the human male shoulders and her width was just as wide as the human body. Now look at the dwarf female standing next to Blackwall. The differences look ridiculous. I cringe during some cutscenes because sometimes she looks like she's a child.

dwarf-human_zpsnfpksfmk.png

All they had to do was fix the ape arms from DAO. That was it. =/

Those god damn ape arms hahaha Totally forgot about those and I see where your coming from Gilsa and I agree, if everything was kept the same and thank god there aren't any ape arms in Inquisition; everything would be fine and not make our femdwarves Hobbits like you stated...just feels a tad strange when next to bull and blackwall haha But its bad love i think....you kinda hate it but you love it also; that your femdwarves have their own identity :) Think I said that right? Sorry if it doesn't sound right...Welsh is my first language  Sorry Gilsa.

I want my Cespar and Cassandra to have a crazy life after the main vanilla story of inquisition. Cassandra being Divine, and Cadash going to visit her from time to time. He really isn't the lovey dovey type, but can be some times. He's that funny guy in the room, and go out his way to make people feel better through laughter. I started writing a background fanfic for him.

That's been pretty much my complaint from the first time I saw the new model for female dwarves. I've literally been unable to tell they were dwarves unless they were standing next to someone for comparison, sigh.

I'd actually been excited about the IB romance because I thought the height difference would be fun, especially if they got it right (I do love the barrel.) But I'll never get past the fact that the relationship starts with an ultimatum. Every one of my Inquisitors would toss him on his ear for that. It's too bad because I love his character, but I'll never run his romance for that reason.

So I'm working on making Vaida Cadash now, but I need some input from people who are very experienced with making female characters (since that's something I've always sucked at).

Which hairstyle do you think suits the idea of a rough, tough, Carta girl with a ruthless and cunning mind but also a hidden heart of gold? Someone who gave her little brother Nasir a tough time but realized how much she truly cared for him when he almost died and is now glowing green? Who is a bit of a prankster at times but would also kill her older brothers to take control of the family business?

Not that she does that last bit, but she would.

Spoiler

Feel free to chime in with any suggestions on how to improve her face too! I'm gonna give her some scars as well, but I wonder if there's anything else I should do for her face.

If she's a bit on the feminine side, I'd go with the second or third ones. If she's more the tough as nails type, go for the first or fourth ones (btw, I love how her face and hair combine in the fourth one, but I like the somewhat androgynous look.

She's more the sort of girl who's definitely not afraid to get her hands dirty, given that she was raised to be a ruthless member of the Cadash Syndicate. She was probably most known as their hitwoman, more or less, as she would use her archery talents to remove people that were an obstacle to their ambitions.

So I'm leaning for the first one.

Do you guys think she came out looking the same as the first images I posted, facial structure wise? I'm not going to roll with this hairstyle but it was the best one out of the bunch that would allow me to do a full comparison, considering my game froze on first iteration Vaida.

Made her face rounder and also touched up her other features. If the Ancestors are kind, my game won't freeze again. Or if it does, at a point after I've saved at least.

EDIT: And man is it annoying when the character is moving around as I'm trying to edit them....

Gods, tell me about it. I used to suffer from the "stuck in the Fade" bug, until it was fixed with patch-I-don't-remember-the-number. I've lost so many Fjalars that way... but of course they still show up in the Keep. -_-

Welp, it made it through. Vaida's in, but I forgot to get rid of the blush. Something about it bothers me, now that I see it in the game proper. It's not worth restarting again though, so here's hoping Bioware churns out the Emporium soon.

I wish the Keep told me more about each of my individual playthroughs. I have 3 Nasirs in there at least but there's no way for me to know which one was the completed file because the Keep doesn't offer much info on DAI.

It was far better with DA2 and DAO files.

I like her (considering she has Zhenya's hair :P.) Wait and see what you think of the blush in different lighting, the prologue has particularly weird lighting. Though blush has been the bane of my CC...
