Maybe it's an actual titan, the corpse of one. Or maybe turned to stone somehow. Or maybe both, titans turn to stone upon death in a literal "return to the stone" sort of way like dwarves think of themselves as doing when they die.
I can't believe Gatsi left Orzammar just because Branka went batshit crazy. He doesn't say if he was part of her house or not

All he'll really tell you is that he carved her paragon statue, which would have been an honor...until word got out about how batshit crazy she went. I doubt he was part of her house; she took everyone except Oghren, so presumably they were all killed or tainted by the darkspawn.
Initially i thought alien lol.
To me it sort of looks like an old Tevinter statue of some sort?
But then again it doesn't look the usual type of tevinter style.

It can't be a statue. I mean, physically, it just can't. For that to be a statue would have required the entire fortress to have been carved out of the mountain, since the "turtle shell" on its back (or entire right-arm side) sprouts off the wall and its arm arches all the way to the other side of the crater,

Anyway, all this to say this titan thing, it's weird. And all the codex we get in Jaws of Hakkon, it's... weird. It's just... weird.

It's a very interesting theory, but I think it's just a statue, sadly. They simply recycled the model of the Colossus of Orlais found in the Hissing Wastes. 
I love the Dwarves. They really do need more love. I hope in the next DA game, there will be at least a Dwarf love interest. I have a Dwarf Inquisitor named Loris who is pursuing Josephine. I've written some fics about him and her already. Dwarves need more love!

Are any of you guys getting the World of Thedas volume 2?
I'm tempted, b/c the lore in Dragon Age is what got me interested in the first game. And is what keeps me interested in the series more then anything else.
Anyone plays the multiplayer version of Dragon Age? I'm trying it tonight with my friend.

I haven't tried it yet. Will probably try at some point, I know I was pleasantly surprised by ME3 multi player.

I really never have an inspiration when I'm creating my dwarf, but I know how I'd like for them to look. I usually like for my characters' appearances to tell a story, but I tend to always try to stick with the bleach blonde hair.
I really want to buy the World of Thedas volume 2. I know there are probably going to be more lore on the dwarves, and I've heard that there will be chapters on the Hero of Ferelden, the Champion, and the Inquisitor.

D**n. I'll have to try that once with Reska (then reload) just to get insulted once.
I had been looking all over for Varric and jumped down there out of frustration that I couldn't find him. I brought him on my first PT and honestly thought that he was hiding from the merchant guild the whole time so I didn't think anything of it back then. Disappointed that I couldn't chat with him like I could with everyone else. And then when I brought him again, it made zero sense that he'd disappear. I had found Cole in a closed off area where the court approval timer ticks down the longer you talk to him so I was sure Varric had to be somewhere. Finally looked it up. He was in the Lower Gardens, which required three hallas to enter. At first I was irritated, but then I dug it. I liked that he was mingling and talking about his book. It fit his character.
