Aww, thanks! I get so little traffic for the Cadash-Adan story compared to my Cullen story, that sometimes it's hard to keep it going, so it's nice to hear that someone likes it that much! It makes it worth it.

So, quick question: out of all the human ladies in DA, which is your favorite to romance as a dorf?
Same with the fellas.
Zevran for the men, no question. Though I haven't gotten that far with the romance, I'd have to say Cass for the women just from watching vids of someone's PT.
Edit: Ooops, you said human, so, um, Dorian I guess, though I haven't actually played that one yet.

Hmm, that's a difficult question to answer?
So far, I've found it much easier to find matches for my female dwarves, but my male dwarves are extremely elusive for me to try to work out who they'd romance, if they indeed romance anyone at all?

Cassandra, hands down. We had that question a few pages back and I'd wrote why. #Pentash
PS: Finally made a Qunari that I actually want to play and love. Lol I've beat the game three times with a dwarf inquisitor. (I haven't finished the one in avatar yet, because I was waiting on the BE).
Shale counts dammit!
No.
No it doesn't.
Old post. And Shale totally counts.

Thinking about it, I don't think I've ever romanced a human with a dwarf...
I know I had plans to in Origins...and then sexy Zevran happened
Never had plans in DAI...it was all about Iron Bull

Humans tend to always be bae for me, except in DA:2, which was Merrill.

Apparently I have a sekrit elf fetish, because all my favorite LIs were elves... Zevran, Sera, Fenris, Solas (poor Merrill is the outlier
).
Funny enough, my dwarves have never romanced an elf. Well, I started a dwarfy Seramance and then my PC crashed...
I plan to run a hard PT with a DW tempest dwarf at some point in the future that will romance Dorian or Josephine...hopefully. He'll have to stay away from the camp outside Haven and the Skyhold tavern though lest he find himself in the orbit of a certain Qunari ![]()
Uh.Hypothetically, would disbanding the templars harm the lyrium smuggling business?
Hypothetically, would disbanding the templars harm the lyrium smuggling business?
More likely to help the smugglers, at least for a few years. You'd have all those addicted templars desperate for their lyrium. Only a small number are going to have the strength of will that Cullen appears to.
Hypothetically, would disbanding the templars harm the lyrium smuggling business?
Hmm... yes and no?
Yes, because the Carta will no longer be able to supply those within the Order that might need an extra fix or two, as well as those who've since left the Order and can no longer obtain it through legitimate means?
No, because Mages need lyrium for rituals and certain spells that need more umph behind them? While they're less regular as customers, as the Carta member in Haven notes, "When they buy, they buy in bulk", so they're still good for business all told?
Or if we look at it in terms of what path you pick in the game;
Going pro-Templar means that the Loyalist Mages either return to the Circle or found a new College, so they'll still need lyrium. The Templars are said to either refound their order or choose to remain with the Inquisition, where some decide to go clean?
Going pro-Mage, the fate of the Templars and whether they are rebuilt is left vague, so we don't know how this affects things? Like with the Loyalists above, allying with or conscripting the Mage Rebellion leads them to either found a new College or go back the Circles, so they'll still need lyrium?
Why is it just for a few years?
It could be longer, but a lot depends on what happens with the surviving Templars who don't break the addiction. I'm assuming very few new people will intentionally addict themselves to lyrium for the Templar abilities, so they won't have new customers. Some Templars will die - killed in combat or just die of old age, etc. Others may run out of money to get lyrium and die from withdrawal or become so addled they don't know how to get it anymore. I'd expect the Carta to find a new market for it (possibly mages able to access it with fewer chantry controls, depending on the outcome of the Divine election,) but that's not guaranteed. So, at least for a few more years, the lyrium smugglers would have customers, possibly a larger demand than before. The rest is too open to future historical developments (and the whims of the writers).
