So, quick question: out of all the human ladies in DA, which is your favorite to romance as a dorf?
Same with the fellas.
Those are limited options. In DAO you've got human Alistair, Morrigan and Leliana, two of which are straight-gated. So... Leliana all around no matter the dwarf.
In DAI, the only options are human Blackwall, Cassandra, and Josephine, and again two are straight-gated. But really the OBVIOUS choice for a dwarf Inquisitor romance is THE IRON BULL! That's just 1,000% awesome for reasons of love, laughs, and size differences.
My memory is hazy, but the Carta dwarves at Halamshiral were talking about a new supplier cutting in the lyrium business. Was it ever revealed who it was?

I don't think they said, but I just assumed it was due to red lyrium diverting customers?

The cheeks are particularly tricky. They look chubby but not in a Scout Harding way, more like saggy as an old lady's.
I'll eventually get the hang of it. Oh, and one secondary note on male dwarves. Beards rob your character of any facial expressions, but it's still worth it.
Learn about Krem's gender identity, then be a douchebag by asking IB about it, "It doesn't bother you that Krem is a woman?" IB will answer that "He is not a woman," and that neither he (IB) nor you are the best people to judge what's normal because he has horns, and you're a small twee person. If you're an elf, he'll say that you got freaky big eyes. Don't know what he says to humans (I don't play those).
I felt bad about asking IB about it, because when given the option, I questioned how the Qun could accept transgendered people because of all the crap Sten gave my female Warden in DAO. It seemed that there was no wiggle room in the Qun. But then retcons happened, and now the Qun's looking pretty sweet compared to other cultures in Thedas.
Helga's not a bigot, more of a hardass because of her 20+ years of life in the Carta (I imagine she's in her early 40's), and she's got no use for what's PC in Thedas.
Anyway, yes, Helga knows what she wants. She's looking forward to beating IB with a stick.
Dwarves be taking care of business:
Spoiler
The Badass Brigade has come to Warden town to bring it down!
I tried my hand at creating a female dwarf today.

Beards are always worth the investment.
I really do think male dwarves look great in this game, though. Or maybe I've just been ogling Varric's guns too long.
Varric looks great in this game. I'm totally glad Bioware decided not to stick a beard on that face.
Oh, and screw Bianca.
Didn't one of the Roman senators end every speech with "Carthage must be destroyed" regardless of how relevant it was to whatever he was saying? I'm thinking of doing the same thing with Bianca.
Dammit Varric, why must we choose between the chest-hair and the gun-show... why can't we have both?
Varric, if you want to see Bianca more than once a decade, you should stop wearing shirts altogether, just sayin'...?
"It's for the Inquisition, Varric. For morale. Do you WANT Corypheus to win? ...Noooo? Well then, off with it!"
Ohhh does anybody have thoughts on Aeducan x Zev? I'm thinking of rolling that on my next DAO playthrough. Dunno whether they're going to be a girl or a guy.

My Aeducan/Zevran play through sold me on that romance. Who better for former royalty as an LI than someone who doubles as bodyguard?
Tishina has a good perspective. My outlook was colored by Zevran telling my Aeducan, in front of another dwarf, what a weak king Harrowmont would be when I was in the middle of trying to reunite with him. Kicked him out of my party after that. ROFL. I know that's lame, but I was irritated at the time! =p
I always have Zev with my male Wardens but it's only because it's that or celibacy. I just don't see Zev with a male dwarf. He's too flirty with human ladies for me to see him settle down with the complete opposite in a short hairy muscular dwarf guy. I get that he can like both, but it just doesn't seem to fit his character to go for dwarf guys. I think he'd be all about trying to get Alistair to lick his lamppost in winter, if you catch my drift. I'm much happier with the DA: I male options for dwarf guys because I definitely could see Bull being into male dwarves.

I always had the impression that Zevran was just plain attracted to all types - I just assumed they didn't write in much flirting with men for Zevran because a certain portion of the gaming community would have had conniptions if he started flirting too openly with their manly men (and did anyway when they somehow "misunderstood" what special massage learned in an Antivan whorehouse meant . ) I actually started a male Aeducan with the idea of romancing Zevran with him (though I admit somehow I ended up with one who could have been trans - apparently I'm not very good at creating rugged men.) The only reason I didn't complete the PT was because DAI came out before I got very far.
I never got the impression that Zev couldn't be attracted to dorf men, but then I'm somebody who likes tall people, short people, rugged people, prim and proper sorts, hairy and lithe and robust and skinny, men and women and everybody in between... You just see me flirt with more dudes IRL because... that's who I'm surrounded by.
I got the impression that if Alistair had been a dwarf, Zev would still offer to bathe him in scented oils.
