Anyone else bummed that we're not going back to Orzammar? It's the part of the setting we had the most power to change in Origins, and I'd love to see the impact of those decisions a decade later. Bhelen's surface-friendly dictatorship that's using surface troops and a small number of golems is very different from a city in which a rebellion killed Harrowmont. Fascinating stuff.

I already get pass it for a while, but I have to admit that it would be awesome if we get a chance to return to Orzammar, and experience the impact of those decisions in first-hand. Now, I'm curious how are they going to handle the impact of our decisions for Orzammar in DAI since there will be some sort of the Inquisition-Orzammar allies, and while we won't be able to visit Orzammar or Kal-Sharok but there are Dwarven settlement so anyone thinks it's Kal'Hirol since the Orzammar Dwarves retake it in DAA or the Dwarves manage to retake another thaig that would be awesome. Dwarf master race!!!

I want Kal-Sharok but I want it to be a big deal when it comes into play, not a quick visit. There's just so much about that history that fascinates me.

Right now I'm still grooving on dwarf Quizzie, dwarf companion, and dwarf NPCs. Next game I'll be clamoring for dwarf romance and locations more, I think!

I hope the Dwarfquisitor can act appropriately horrified that they have a glowing, MAGICAL hand.

I can see Mama and Papa Cadash in the background cradling their heads, asking, "Wheeerre did we go wrong?!"

What if this settlement consist of Orzammar and Kal-Sharok dwarves living together? Like that would offer us a whole new culture side of the dwarves. I could see something like that happening, because Orzammar and Kal-Sharok have their ways of living.

That would be interesting, and I'm open to learn more about the new culture side of the dwarves. I sincerely hope that's the start to unite both Orzammar and Kal-Sharok. They may have bad blood and Kal-Sharok dwarves can hold grudges while a stuck up Orzammar dwarves can live within their own illusion over lost glory all they want, but if they don't work together and refuse to unite for survival of the races in the long run then the Darkspawn will eventually overwhelm them.

I'm actually interested in learning more about the Cadashes and the other surface dwarves. I think they kind of hamstrung themselves from including Orzammar by allowing the crown to go to two very different candidates; it makes it hard to include now without washing out most of the results of choices.

That's why I kinda think other games in the franchise will take place further into the future - much further. Or else they'll be prequels and take place in the past.

This way, monarchs like Bhelen/Harrowmont, Alistair/Anora/Cousland will be dead. :P

Or maybe move to other areas of Thedas - Antiva, Rivain, Tevinter, the Anderfels, etc. I don't think we'll see a visit to Orzammar anytime soon, but I'm wondering if the Fereldan succession will get settled in DAI along the way.

I hope this is something that we can touch on, but I also believe that the surface dwarves should be able to return. There should be like a surface house for them. On my warden, I asked King Alister and Queen Anora to help the dwarves in the deep road, and they were successful in pushing them back. So I hope this comes in play in inquisition. My inquisitor may not be the one that would bring the dwarves together, but he is going to try to help.

My Dwarven Noble speaks for the surface dwarves, support their case that they should be able to return, but that's happening during the origin story before my Dwarven warden got exiled and it was a Ronus's scheme to recover his losses. So I'm not sure if it's really count for anything, but I also hope we'll get the option to support surface dwarves later. I also asked King Alistair and Queen Anora for military's support in the Deep Roads, and judging by the epilogue screen in DAO and with Bhelen on the throne (I choose him for the casteless). I really hope my warden just give Orzammar and every dwarf a chance to survive, and I hope the boon I asked will not suffer retcon. My Inquisitor may be Qunari (Vashoth), but he has respect for the dwarves so here's hoping he can continue the Warden's effort to help the dwarf.

Kinda hate to be a buzzkill, but while I generally play as a dwarf, I wouldn't expect a dwarf romance for a while due to the posts in the OP on this topic.

I think that if you take what DG said seriously just think of it like this if female Dwarves look like 14 year old girls then in Origins Alistair,Leliana & Zevran were basically being Peds. And in DAI the Ped party continues with a little beastilty added in"Iron Bull".

Dwarfs are the most interesting race to play as in DA but B-Ware you gotta make up your mind if Dwarf Romances are bad then Qunari ones should be considered just as bad if not worse now thats just my opinion but there you go.

Female dwarves now looks the same as J.R.R. Tolkien's female dwarves, but seriously if DG really hate Dwarves then we won't be able to play as one, and they might not exist in DA universe at all. I hope there will be dwarf romance in future DA game, but I don't see it coming any time soon. :(

You mean they look like Peter Jackson's female dwarves.

Tolkien female dwarves would be harder to pick out from male dwarves. It's not that hard to pick out in Jackson's Hobbit movies or in DA.

The majority of female dwarves do not have beards, please let's not Tolkeinize the dwarves.  None of mine will have beards, and in Dragon Age, that's the norm.

I am a little disappointed that they didn't go with the full idea, they only went with stubble by the looks of it. Why only go halfway? If they can grow beards, even if they are just short beards, why not have that option? If they are turned off by the idea of a female dwarf with a Dorian mustache, then why have the option at all? If they don't plan to show female beards, why have it in the lore at all?

Just some very, very minor gripes about the Character Creator, which is really awesome.

Personally even as is I fear the inevitable girl dwarves have beards insistence, just because some can or do, doesn't mean all do...  which is an annoying insistance a lot of people have about dwarven women.

Dwarven women do not have beards.

SOME dwarven women have beards.
