@Fandango -- I didn't purchase JoH, but I've read plenty of threads discussing the DLC. The one consistent thing I've seen across the board, regardless of whether one is in the love-it or hate-it camp, is that it's overpriced. (It's actually why I didn't buy it -- $15 for one more zone to grind in is a bit much in the grand scheme of things.) The positive things about the DLC is that there's more interaction with Scout Harding, which is a plus if you're a big fan of her, and there are more schematics to buy. They're basically another tier of the same armors. You can get the schematic for Blackwall's helmet if you missed it the first time around (there is a bug that prevents you from acquiring his gear, including his original helmet, if he's not immediately placed in your party when you complete "The Lone Warden"). There's interesting lore to read up on, some in-jokes, brand new areas to look at (as in they're not recycled from other zones). I watched a streaming video of someone playing through the DLC when it went live and it looked fun, interesting conversations here and there, more stuff to gather, but it still boils down to being another zone on the map to grind through. The downsides are that there's no extra content with your romance interest. There's not a lot of "cutscenes" available (if you're the type that likes to take screenshots of your character). You decide whether that's worth $15. You'll be less disappointed because you're going into it knowing what to expect. Some of the complaints stem from the fact that it didn't turn out to be what people hoped for when they went into it blind. That make sense?
I came here to share a couple of FYIs.
1) There's a dwarf appreciation week coming up on Tumblr. Details are outlined here. If you do not have tumblr, but are interested in seeing what people share, you can just bookmark chantryscholar.tumblr.com and check out the reblogs that show up on that page.

July 26th: Cadash Appreciation–A day to focus on our lovely Inquisitor Cadash. Tell us all about your inquisitor, through art, fic, personal headcanons, graphics. It’s up to you! What choices did they make throughout the events of Inquisition? Who did they romance? How did they come to be, even before the Breach?
July 27th: Warden Appreciation–Focusing on our dwarven Wardens, Brosca, Aeducan, and Kader. What sort of Warden did they become, who did they romance, what choices did they make during and after the Blight?
July 28th: Lady Dwarves–A day to love and appreciate the fine lady dwarves we’ve met throughout Dragon Age. Tell us your love for Dagna, Bianca, Sigrun, Lace Harding, or any of the other lady dwarves that come to mind.
July 29th: Dwarven Dudes–Can’t forget our fantastic dwarven dudes! Got love to proclaim for Sandal, Bodahn, Varric, Oghren, or any other dwarf dude in Dragon Age? Today’s the day to do just that.
July 30th: Shale Appreciation–As a golem, Shale technically doesn’t have a gender anymore, but that doesn’t mean you can’t love her any less. Show some slightly squishy love for Shale today.
July 31st-August 1st: Dwarves of Thedas–A more generalized focus on dwarves of Thedas. Perfect for any meta, graphics, fanart, or fanmixes for dwarves that don’t apply to one character or another.
2) I finally learned how to make texture replacements for the Skyhold pajamas for the dwarf male and female. It took me weeks because half of that time was spent reading up on tutorials that didn't really answer my questions (because those assumed the reader had a certain level of know-how so most of it went over my head at the start). After a lot of trial and error, I finally created my first mod for the dwarves. The design is based on the Carta vest outfit. I started with red/black since red is basically the official color for dwarves and the dwarves in Valammar wear black/red combos. (Recoloring is not my strong suit. I did try to make a brown version, but I'm just so burnt out right now that I need to recharge. =p)
