Or are they claiming the non magic stuff is due to being cut off from the Titans? Now that I type that out I think that's what it might be.

Solas: "I see so much of the world in in dreams. Humans, my own people, even Qunari."
Solas: "Dwarves alone were lost to me, save scattered fragments of memory where some spirit cared to watch."
Solas: "Now I know why I see so little."
Varric: "And why is that?"
Solas: "Dwarves are the severed arm of a once-mighty hero, lying in a pool of blood."
Solas: "Undirected, whatever skill at arms it had gone forever."
Solas: "Although it might twitch to give the appearance of life, it will never dream."
Varric: "I'd avoid mentioning that to any Carta, Chuckles. They might not take it the right way."
This was such an interesting convo. Must be related to the titans right???

'Whatever skill at arms it had, gone forever."
This may have put a glorious mental image of the dwarves actually being the top sorcerers of their day. ![]()
Interesting that Solas seems to have such a positive view of the ancient dwarves. From the Temple of Mythal Codex on 'hunting the pillars of the earth' and the hints about the Titans, I'd kinda figured the ancient dwarves and Arlathan shared some rough-housing.

I envisioned massive warrior of extremely awesome skill that can take on armies by itself, with skin like molten rock or stone.
However, when slain its body was torn asunder, and from the chaos the dwarves were formed.

Here's my Cadash siblings from oldest to youngest: Renrik, Doudrin, Alcina, and Ferinda. Renrik and Alcina are warriors while Doudrin and Ferinda are rogues.
I clearly need some dwarf action in my life. I need Deep Roads DLC!

Yep. We picked this part way earlier in the thread. We danced around all of the dwarven's theory.
Now, we're kind of waiting for Bioware to throw us a bone. We can only speculate so much, before it goes in circles.

I don't know about anyone else. But all of these Darkspawn quick tip quickies Bioware has been dropping leads me to believe that the next story DLC will be about the Deep Roads. At least I hope it will.
Because if it isn't SO HELP ME I will cry. More Dwarf lore please!

NOOO! Don't think like that. Positive dwarf thoughts, dear. After Adamant Fortress and finding out our Warden (if alive) is looking for a cure for the Calling, Deep Roads DLC needs to be made!

I added the Orzammar texture for dwarf males to The Carta Cut files. Now before anyone thinks I'm a fast worker (noooooo), this was actually the first mod I ever worked on. The main design was done, but the technical stuff was frustrating me so I had set it aside and worked on a different design (the Carta stuff) for a while. I was able to come back to this and create the normal/specular maps properly. Anyway, I'm really proud of this one even though it's simpler than the Carta version. Mainly because it was my first mod and because it really bothered me how little love the male dwarf got in the modding department and I actually got to do something about it. =D

Maybe this dlc will also bring romance options for Harding
Eh, I don't want them to do that unless it's really a full romance. I don't want an abbreviated, half-hearted one just so they can say "see, now we have a dwarven romance in the game and we don't have to even think of one again for 3 or 4 more games."

Alright fellow dwarves I have a question to pose for you. Where will your Dwarf!Quisitors be in lets say 10 years. Personal headcanons are fine so if you want the Qunari to conquer all of Thedas and everyone follows the Qun then, by golly live the dream.
![]()
For me personally, my Lady Cadash will be married to Blackwall Rainier with a child (or children). Living in Ferelden (or maybe Tevinter with best friend Dorian) just living life and getting into just a little bit of trouble.
And on special occasions they'll see Aunt Divine Vivienne and the rest of the family (except Solas, but he'll send his love in his own Elvhen god way). That's all I've come up with so far. But I'd love to hear the rest of your ideas.

Hmm, good question, especially for my Reska. I can't see Blackwall being happy about her going back to the Carta, but she's the one I could see cheerfully slipping right back into that life. So I think she'd end up as Divine Vivienne's left hand (since she could play the Orlesian game properly) as a compromise.
Zhenya, however, would vanish with Lace Harding (who makes something of a comment in game about wanting to see more of the world) to do exactly that, including visiting Orzammar and Kal'Sharok on the assumption a dwarven inquisitor might be treated at least like a visiting surface dignitary by then. She would have squirreled away enough money during her time as IQ that they could enjoy themselves for a while at least.
Zheeva and Adan are either in Denerim or Val Royeaux, using their connections to set up as alchemists and prospering quite well. Probably Val Royeaux where they'd be close to Divine Cassandra and Sera, with Zheeva occasionally lending "Red Jenny" a hand. And giving Cole a home if he wants it (with a private agreement that he acts as Adan's bodyguard when Zheeva is away.) Zheeva's private project is trying to find a way to make lyrium withdrawal easier.
All of this, of course, is contingent on the other DLCs.

Oh, man, that's a good question. I have no idea because where do you go after you reach the heights of such power? Morrigan is correct that people will be gunning for the Inquisitor now. I have children in RL -- and I love them dearly -- but they are a game changer for relationships and I prefer to just stay in that cute newly-in-love stage the game offers and not head canon marriage/children for any of my characters. I don't want to deal with the problems of wondering where the kids are when mom and dad are off fighting. (It's like that baby on "The Walking Dead." There's no good answer because you're always wondering where the baby is even when it's mainly off screen. How would they write a baby off the show? Either it dies or they hand it off to someone, but who? Where? They're overrun by zombies everywhere. No place is safe. What a headache.)
My Warden is still doing the random Grey Warden business and waiting for Harrowmont to die, I guess. At this rate, the taint will probably get to her first. =p

Nice question about the future but I agree it will mostly be contingent on the DLC that comes out.
Alcina would probably love to be back to Carta work. She made some interesting connections as Inquisitor that would be quite profitable for many venues of the family business (along with opening some new doors). Although Bull may have some reservations about her going back to the life. There definitely won't be any children (at least none she gives birth to since Qunari/dwarf kids aren't a thing....right??? I can't even imagine what they'd look like though I am intrigued
). I'll just say she'll still be with Iron Bull because she won't be done with him, Cole will have joined their family, the Cadash clan will get assistance whenever they ask though she'll limit it to non-lethal stuff...mostly, and Sera and Dorian will get any help they need whenever they ask.
I've got details for all the in between but the DLC may have other plans for her future so I'll stick with my general hopes for now.
