No. In fact, the DLC assumes Cadash has never heard of the Titans before, no matter what (I'm using a post-game save).

Honestly kinda annoyed me.

I banished the Grey Wardens in my game so when Shaper Valta mentioned that they weren't answering the call for help, there was no input from the Inquisitor.

Unfortunately, the DLC doesn't take into account the Warden choice either. Pre or post HLTA ultimately doesn't matter, and I was hoping that it would come into play there as a means to better form the narrative of Inquisition. Comments, codexes, etc.

The Wardens are really only given that one quest actually.

Even though I still haven't finished the DLC yet -- for some reason Inquisition keeps crashing to my desktop every time I try to load a save. Seriously WTF is wrong with this game? -- and despite it having a good chunk of narrative problems for me, this DLC will probably be my favorite out of them all.

I'm just swimming in all this dwarf lore and revelations in here.
I'm going to play it again with Ferinda then bring back any questions I have after getting a chance to soak it all in.

Me too. It was so much to take in I have to play it again.

Are the schematics tier 4 regardless of the level your character was when you acquired them?

And TEWR, I meant to ask -- are you on PC or console? Sorry you're having so much trouble. =/

Try loading a previous save; had one auto-save while Cassandra was in free fall, and had to do this myself.

Wardens are mentioned in dialogue, but am guessing that the DLC was written w/o the choices from the Vanilla game as Descent can be played at any time.

They were all tier 4 for my level 14/15 Orion Cadash.

I may have gotten carried away at the crafting table during this DLC. But I couldn't help it.

I made a dwarven helmet for Orion and called it, "Death's Crown," and headcanon it's a gift from the Legion.

Ok, so this latest DLC has provided the perfect incentive to embark on a second playthrough of the excellent Inquisition. Naturally I'm rolling my second Cadash - this time a brusk, two handed warrior named Agis:

Can't wait to get stuck into things properly tomorrow!

Nice, Fandango.

I won't lie after playing Descent I'm tempted to create another dwarf inquisitor even though I haven't finished Orion's play through yet.

Can't get enough of those dwarves.

I was thinking of trying out the Reaver Spec this time.

Aye, I was debating whether I should experience the DLC (I also bought Jaws of Hakkon) with my original Cadash, but decided I would roll a new character and start the game over.

@Spectre -- D'awwww (on your spoiler).

Am also wondering if there are bonus dialogues about this due to certain Codex Perks. My Cadash Rogue did not take any, and perks cannot be respec'd.

I'm currently on "M" Cadash and she's got all the codex perks so I'm keeping an eye out for these dialogues. My first dwarf only had the underworld perk and I kept her ignorant of the rest on purpose. Regretted it for this DLC. So far, there's an Historian perk when talking to Shaper Valta at the entrance. Inqusitor says she knows who the Legion of the Dead are.

After coming across certain foes in the Descent, I'm glad my main Trev did the Jaws of Hakkon first b/c Aegis of the Rift is a needed talent I think to have. It made the fighting a lot easier in certain areas.

And How do you post pictures again? Thanks.

It's the only way to play. B)

I craft items that I then RP as gifts from Hawke and the Warden during certain parts of the story. Such as rping that the weapon/armor came with the HOF Letter (I mean a lifeward amulet, seriously, HOF? )or when you first meet Hawke in Crestwood. Or after Wicked Hearts with the Empress or Emperor gifting them something  suitable as a reward for their effort. As well as friends of the Warden or Hawke giving the Inquisitor unique gifts from the likes of Leliana, Varric, Alistair, Loghain, Morrigan, or Anora (for my Prince Couslands)

As well as the Inquisitor crafting items and RPing them as gifts to LI and friends.

It makes it more fun and immersive I think

I have pretty much crafted the best items that my Cadash should have, so I RP'd the scene with an enraged Inq on Nightmare using Static Cage (ie; Dorian), Wall of Fire (ie; Vivienne), and a full three tier Mark of the Rift. Cassandra had nobody to battle when she got there....

Am really enjoying the combat variety; allows me to re-set the Quickslots a bit more often and alter Tactics a bit more than the other content.

PC. This is actually the first time I've played Inquisition in some time. Well, this past week was, as I had started with some of my other characters that are canon to my multi-verse (as good a name as any for it). One of my 3 Adaars, a bit of Vaida Cadash, some more of Marisa Lavellan, etc.

Try loading a previous save; had one auto-save while Cassandra was in free fall, and had to do this myself.

Nah it kept crashing for any save, at least on Nasir. Tried both autosaves and the manual one before them and it didn't work. Considering my laptop had an auto-shutdown last night I figure it may have been a heat issue. I'll try again when I get home from work.

And yeah, they are mentioned, but it's a rather casual thing. I mean, it wouldn't have taken all that much tbh. Just a mention of "The Wardens are with the Inquisition" and seeing them at the various camps as just standing NPCs would've made enough of a difference to me (though I headcanon this DLC as going in tune with the Warden-arc a bit).

But more on that later, maybe.

How are folks doing in the DLC with ranged characters? I just started dabbling in it with my Qunari mage (and Sera, Cass, and Viv) and after rethinking my strategy we've made it to the third floor.

I'm concerned about the boss fight though.

Spoiler

Times like these I wish we still had actual tactics. They really need to bring them back (along with the wheel option to be able to use all your allotted abilities and not just the mapped ones).

You'd think dwarves would be more invested on the Inquisition.

We have irrefutable evidence ancient Tevinter Magisters brought the Bligth to the world and we are trying to kill one.

I agree. It's really annoying they took the wheel out of this game. They got all these abilities and I'm stuck with 8? That was just a bad decision. It will become more difficult if they add abilities such as 'Aegis of the Rift.'

TEWR, have you tried repairing the game? I've found I've had to repair every time they patch, and I just repair before I even try to start the game after a patch now, then again after running DAI Mod manager.

I just completed the story on my second Cadash, the one with all the perks. I counted 1 historian, 4 magic, and 2 nobility dialogue options. I've summarized each of them in the spoiler below if you're curious/don't want to run additional characters.

Spoiler

It makes sense why there are so many magical options since we're dealing with lyrium, but it's really odd to listen to a dwarf who can't do magic speak with such authority. That's Dagna's area of expertise, y'know? ;)

We have nothing of the sort, actually. The PT had red lyrium in abundance and we know it has the Blight. We have testimonies by the Dwarves who say the Darkspawn have come from beneath their feet, not below. Add in how the Darkspawn have made it a point to avoid both the areas beneath Heidrun Thaig and the PT itself, and we have a strong case for considering the Dwarves of old are somehow responsible for the Darkspawn.

At best, the Magisters simply are the poster boys for the Blight, but they're not responsible for it. That one thing is true does not make all things true.
