Hey-ho Im pleased to say that after playing inquisition on and off for more than a year I finally created an inquisitor that I'm attached to, surely enough it turned out to be a rogue poison and grenade using redhead dwarf hunkules, so sharing my excitement here! heres some pics

Growing out the beard lol anyone else changes up hairstyle-beard-complexion as game progresses ?    eventualy itl be hulk hogan beard then goatee then full on beard but ill see if it suits him..

 

 

Whoo! It's always good to have a PC you feel attached to! And he's looking rather dapper and badass at the same time!

 

Am I crazy for constantly checking Origin to see if a download link has appeared for Tresspasser yet?

 

Also, I got back from Dragon Con yesterday. It was amazing! I managed to get in near the front of the Dragon Age Q&A panel, and I also got to chat with Karin and Patrick Weekes after a few panels about game design, the creative process, and handling editing/critiquing. It was awesome, they're really friendly and approachable people! On day 2 of the con, Karin was wearing a great Scout Harding cosplay and was kind enough to take a picture with me (we're of a similar height/build and we'd both commented on it's nice to have characters with builds we could cosplay as; I've considered doing a Harding in the future if I ever have the time/money to get the costume made):

 

 

Great con, great BioWare panels and I'm glad I have today off to play Tresspasser (once it unlocks ) before I have to go back to work tomorrow.

And I'm pretty sure Trespasser will be out at 10 a.m. PST (less than an hour from now). The Descent DLC and other patches have come out consistently at 10 a.m. as well. SOOOOOOON.

Heh, more like "if I have the money to pay somebody to make it" - I have no costume skills or time for it, so I'd prefer to commission someone to make me a Harding cosplay. I just need... at least several hundred spare dollars for it, haha! Maybe one day, and if so, I'd happily share it here!

 

Would love to do Dorn but... way too pale, too busty to hide it, and I wouldn't want to shave my hair for it. Alas. The beard would've been glorious!

 

On that note, on Tumblr I saw someone mention they've "roughed up" their Inquisitor in the BE for Tresspasser. Anyone here tweaked their Inquisitor to show the time passed? I made Dorn's scar a bit lighter since it's had more time to heal, but that's about it; no other beard or hairstyle looked right on him.

There is a mod for the hairstyle I have, but longer and I thought about that for the "passage of time," but I don't know if mods will work in Trespasser and I don't care enough to fiddle with it. I just want to jump in and see the story already. Totally crossing my fingers for a hail mary pass that we get a dwarven throne in this dlc somehow. =p
 
Slightly OT: One of the more memorable roleplay I've seen was when someone decided that they got burned in the Conclave explosion and used this burned complexion mod from Nexus to reinforce that.

I wish burn scars were some of the options under scars.

All my mods work so far in Trespasser, and I have mostly Skyhold pj mods (yes they work with the wardrobe, depends on what you have), some ability tweaks, and the realistic hair mod. So you may be good to go on that front.

 

EDIT: Ha, maybe not. My game just crashed upon trying to go to the inventory screen and now freezes if I try to load my saves. Time to remove the mods for now. Ah, the mod dance!

 

I've seen that burn mod and I kind of want to do it for at least one Inquisitor; but I'd like to see a few more options. I remember seeing a darker-skinned dwarf on tumblr that had a really awesome burn mod that accurately reflected burn scars on darker skin - something you don't see often. I imagine it was custom-made by her player for just her though, because I haven't found it elsewhere. Shame, it was well done.

It's in Sera's journal, which is behind her on the table in the tavern . There was a hint about the two of them in Sera's Skyhold journal post-game, but Trespasser expands on that. They're freaking adorable. I am trying to take this as a good sign re: BioWare being open to interspecies romance with dwarves in DA4.

 

(Of course, all I want is to play a dwarf and romance another dwarf. But I really can't see them making a dwarf-only romance given that they're not among the most popular race choices, so a hypothetical dwarf romance would probably need to be available to tall PCs, too.

Ugh... after nearly seven month I have some time to post here again and maybe finally finish my first DAI playthrough.

 

Forgot so much about what I did with my dwarf that I'm thinking about restarting and adding the DLC's to the experience. But that would just lead to me staring at the CC for hours and lamenting that I still can't be a dwarfen mage.

 

Maybe I should try a Tempest? Looks like quite some elemental damage. I could just pretends that it's rune magic!

I know! I missed Brosca, but I feel that I won't be able to leave behind Cadash so easily.  Hopefully, he'll be in touch with the DA4's protagonist on many occasions, since he needs to find "new" people. I hope Cadash's role is greater than what Hawke had to offer in Inquisition.

If the new game was set in Tevinter, i sincerely hope we get a Magekiller specialisation. It fits the setting very well and....well i.cant wait for the comic to come out!!!!

But yeah, in addition to my mage character, i totally want to be a badass dwarf bounty hunter type character. And with magic resistance, might make the job.easier.

Maybe we would be forced to play a human or elf, and I don't really want that. But, I'm going to think on the positive side, and with all the new dwarven information in Descent and Trespasser, I doubt they would take the dwarf protagonist away. 

 

I've Brosca, Cadash, and *Insert next dwarf protagonist last name.* After playing Descent and Trespasser, I wouldn't mind playing a traditionalist dwarf, even though I love my carta rats.

I am starting a new FF, going through the entire DA trilogy (again). I chose to make my warden in this FF my Favorite origin, which as you might have guested from my user name is the casteless dwarf. As I am writing the first chapter, it brings back a lot of memories and I am getting all nostalgic. Tell me if this is weird, but as I am writing I get this feeling like "its good to be home". Not that I would actually want to live in dust town irl but some of you might know what I mean. Its hard to explain tbh.

I'm going to start a new Neverwinter Night 2's play through and Pillars of Eternity's play through just so I can play more dwarf characters and dive into their lore. Sword Coast Legend is coming out at the end of this mouth, so there is another chance to play a dwarf character.

Why the negativity assuming they're going to drop dwarves from the game? I'd say if anything, the indications are the opposite, with the amount of time they gave to Dagna and Harding as well as a DLC focused on dwarven lore. True, fewer people play dwarves, but when you consider that there hasn't been a dwarven LI, we have only two classes to the other races three, and the two most popular F to M romances were race-gated from dwarves, getting even close to the same number of people playing dwarves as humans or elves would mean that dwarves were far MORE popular than those races. I'd say Descent, Harding, Dagna (and Sandal) set things up for an important role for dwarves in future games, and in fact they're pushing to make the games overall less human-centric.

 

Edit: I'm fairly sure they've noticed how wildly popular Harding has been even with people who don't normally like dwarves...
