Calpernia's armor makes the male dwarf look too thin in my opinion. I wish the armor would had scale to fit the dwarf's body shape.

I can't stand any armor that takes away Bull's glorious belly.

Side note, who should my male DN romance? He's a stubborn middle child who's more interested in scholarship and fighting darkspawn than ruling Orzammar. In fact, I'm fairly certain he's allergic to politics.

Whoever he or she well damn please, and by that I mean whoever feels the more natural to that particular character. Maybe it's because I am an old p'n'p roleplayer who actually like the roleplay apsect but planing a romance makes no sense to me until you start to play and get to know your character and how he/she fells with the companions.

Nearly every time I planned a romance I either end up romancing someone else or even no one at all. I am probably not a great help there for you, but I would say don't plan and go with whoever feels natural after a few hours of gameplay.

The Descent armor is the only one that lets my resolve falter to only wear my glorious legionnaire armor. Some mighty fine smithing on that one.

I've been looking around in other threads, trying to figure out if the trials are worth doing and what rewards we could possibly get. I'm learning that there are other ways to get extra schematics and purple armors like drops and war table rewards. I loaded up my old playthroughs just to see what I had from war table missions that were ready for me to check. I actually got a few items. For example, if I helped Maryden "Stop the Rumors" via Josephine, I got a 1H sword called "Greatest Hits." (Cute.)

 

Know the outfit that Luka the Alchemist wears in Skyhold off to the stables? THAT outfit is a reward for a rogue that specializes in the Tempest specialization and does the Smash war table mission. It's not a schematic alas. (You can still use cheat engine to equip it anyway if you're a rogue not of that spec.) I've seen a picture of a qunari reaver wearing the reaver reward as well. I know the outfit that Korbin the Legionnaire wears is also available, but no one has reported finding it yet. I'm not sure which spec would unlock that.

 

I got a sigil from gaining Orzammar's friendship. Pic below.

Anyway, I will keep looking for info on Korbin's outfit. I really to have it, even if it's just armor I keep in my storage chest in Skyhold. I have a compelling need to collect all dwarven stuff. =p If you find any other dwarf stuff, let me know!

It's just a shame that the helmet is hiding beards! A glorious dwarven beard must be witnessed, not hidden behind some helmet!

Ha! Thanks for the reply. For me, planning is a big part of roleplaying (I'm also a veteran PnPer ).

But I suppose I'm just gonna have to wing it and see what Aeducan wants. It's sooo hard for me not to plan!

All the options are great, so like Olwaye said, go with what feels right for that particular warden when you get started. I have about 50/50 luck planning. Sometimes it works, sometimes my protags want nothing to do with my plans

Was disappointed that not only did she not appear, when Viv asked about a date with her (the only one to mention Harding at all), my dorfquizzy could only say "Err, no not yet" (and get a speech on toying with her, seeing as TWO YEARS HAVE PAST) or bumble with an "Oh uh er yeah uh of course" in the fashion of a terrible lie.

 

This disappointed me. Being told that Ed and Lace couldn't be together is fine, and honestly what I expected (she clearly wasn't treated as a 'real' romance, nor was it tracked in the Keep). If they made better friends, or something interfered, fine. It's hard to see the characters as real people if they all bow to your whim.

 

But... the way that snippet, however small, is written makes it clear that there HAS been no date. There never was one. Not one that went bad, but that Ed either forgot or worse: didn't even care.

 

The first dorf-dorf romance and it got blocked by my character being an inconsiderate jerk?

 

Made especially bad by the fact my guy is such a people-pleaser. That was his main problem: he wanted to be a good leader but he was so easily bent by the feelings of the people around him that he ended up making decisions entirely based on them - even to the point of being wishy-washy. He recommended killing the spy in Haven, and keeping the scouts operating, but panicked when he saw what it was doing to Leliana (too late by then of course).

Naturally, because he was easily manipulated, he ended up on good terms with Vivienne. (Solas less so at first, but his curious questions got him some standing in the end.)

 

Having Ed start a neurotic, over-committing mess that found self-worth in enslaving himself to other people, and yet suddenly become dismissive of the only Inquisition member he regularly talked to, was extremely jarring.

I think it can be interpreted as the IQ was taken off guard by Vivienne, of all people, actually asking. It's cute, but very disappointing. Worse for me, it looks as if you have to be on good terms with Vivienne, so my dwarf who's interested in Harding won't even get that much. I was rather aggravated that they didn't even give the option for a kiss or hug or even a conversation with Harding for anyone who stuck that out, though I might forgive that if she's a romanceable companion in the next game...

I ran all the war table missions for each of the warrior specs.

 

Templar = Bownammmar plate (same as Kardol's armor)

 

Reaver = reaver armor

 

Champion = flaming 1h sword

 

Unfortunately this means I won't be able to get Bownammer plate on my reaver (although I do like the reaver armor). They're both low level purples so it's not a HUGE deal, but still. Would have liked to have copies of both, y'know?

Stupid question, but a dorf is elf+dwarf? I like them, though they look more elven than dwarf. I'd need a full body shot.

No they're dwarves, dorfs is just me be goofy. As for the ears, all meta-humans, except humans, in Shadowrun have pointy ears.

I haven't tried that armor on my inquisitors yet, but I did craft a set for Cassandra. It looks good on her.

Hi all, new here. DAI go me into dwarves, (first char was a fem cadash.)

 

Just curious for male dwarf chars. which face shape do you use the most? I find the first one to be easiest to get an appealing look while still looking "dwarven" THe second is my least fave as it just seems to small for the body model.
