The option to finally add scars in CC. They look cool.

Yes! I enjoyed tattoos, but I really like scars, especially on the warriors and rogues.

Aside from female dwarf beards, is there anything else newer that people are looking forward to doing with their dwarves in the CC?

Giving her awesome eye colors! And make-up! And just obsessing over every detail basically. :)

Yes, the eye colors look like they'll be fun. I have to admit, I tend to not be obsessive myself. I tend to pick a default that's pretty close to what I want, pick the hair and hair color, tweak the eye color and face shape, add tattoos (and now scars), then jump in.

Speaking of the CC I was planning on making my Lady cadash's eyes brown and neon green. I wanna Rp that the fade not only left the mark on her hand but affected her eyes as well (at least the color anyway). Also I want the ability to freak out in the beginning, especially being a dwarf with the sudden ability to do something "magical".

Yes, I hope they give us some dialogue related to how impossible that should be. Well, that and getting blasted into the fade since dwarves don't even go there in their dreams.

Still haven't decided on an accent for my male dwarven warrior. I think I'm going to spend several minutes listening to voice samples in the cc.

I wonder if there are going to be specific tattoos that means casteless, because nobles also had tattoos.

Yay dwarves! I feel like the dwarves get the least amount of love from the fandom, sadly. Also hoping for a dwarf LI (or two!) next game ;)

That's how it was in Origins.

I imagine we'll have a lot of freedom in that regard, considering the Cadash family used to be noble, but now they're crimelords, and they live on the surface... so really, any tattoo/lack of tattoo could fit.

If I recall, in the DC origin story, you can talk to a surface merchant who's selling in the commons and he'll tell you his casteless tattoo is just inked on and he washes it off when he leaves. I could also imagine a surface family choosing to wear the tattoos as a way of thumbing their noses at Orzammar and at the Shapers specifically.

Ok so I am watching the new twitch footage of skyhold and I finally get to see scout harding completely instead of from the waist up and to my disappointment she is "very slim" (not dumping on skinny girls, so i apologize if I offend you in this post). As I have stated before one of main reasons I loved being a female dwarf was because they were the chubby girls of all the races. Also again I say it angers me how slim she is! I mean I still love her character so far and she is cute, but the fact that she isnt as wide and or chubby as female dwarves in DAO (glad the monkey arms are gone, So I will give points for that) takes away a  big part of why I love being a dwarf. I felt that us big girls were finally getting some love. That we are more than comic relief and that we could be seen to be just as tough and beautiful as women with hour glass figures. I was really hoping they would make female dwarves closer to the style of DAO (minus the monkey arms). But i guess as the saying goes "sex sells"  or in this case "sexy sells"  <_<

Ok aside from my bitter rant, I love skyhold and everything about it so far! I am looking forward to all the hours I will no doubt go into it. I am really excited to see what dwarven decorations I can use! :D

I think scout Harding look fine, and lets face it, she needs to be pretty fit and in shape given her role in the inquisition.

Im a lover of the cuddly woman, but I don't see any problem with Hardings appearance.

Oh, also, in MP i fully plan on playing not only my usual mage characters ie necromancer and elementalist, i will also be using the adorable dwarven alchemist :D

Im pretty sure alchemist will be using tempest skills, which is even better :)

Big girls are sexy and don't you forget it ;)

I think in hardings case she may be a little bit more slim due to the fact that she is a scout and probably is part elven...well probably not...

It may very well be just her character model.

Harding looks fantastic. Hopefully my dwarfette will look at least half as good as she.

Hmmm maybe, but I doubt it. I know most think I am being silly (to put it nicely) but the female dwarf being "chubby" meant alot to me.  So I may just hold off on being a dwarf at first!

I know what you mean, CS! I hope the lady dwarves have not completely lost their voluptuousness... who knows, perhaps Harding has a unique body model, or her armor is very "flattering" and gives the illusion that she's slimmer than she is?

IRL I am a fairly slender person, but part of what makes me love playing a dwarf so much is their stoutness... whether it's the ladies with their unabashedly curvy physiques or the gentleman dorfs with their broad chests and shoulders, mmm~

I think we'll just have to wait til we play the game. Everything looks a bit different when you're watching somebody else play. :)
