I really like how the dwarfs look so far. Personally I like how 'human' they look but there is an option to make them rugged. If I could get over the idea of being short I may play a dwarf. I can live without being a mage since the I prefer being on the front lines anyway (and the Knight Enchanter isn't all that tanky).

Well I like the dwarves more in origins, because they didn't look so "human" like below the face.
But anyway… Varric and Bianca?

The wait is killing me. I want my dwarf inquisitor now. Also, that picture with Varric is certainly interesting. Hurry up 21st!

You must be scared easily then. It's a good thing for people who aren't as scared of breaking gender norms. Some might want intersex characters. You can also change the size of the adam's apple.
Oh, I have no problem with it myself (though if they were so short on dev time that the hair selections are going to be incredibly limited, I wish they could have passed on female dwarf beards for now). And I'm all for options that let people break gender norms (see my regular exhibitions of crankiness on the sexualized female character movements and the unnecessary slimming down of female dwarves and the noodle arms on female warriors while male mages look like they've been bench pressing qunari
). However, female beards aren't exactly amusing to many women over 50 (that was a hormonal surprise I could definitely have done without). ![]()

Dwarves are my favorite. I played a sassy dwarf princess the first time I ever payed Dragon Age, and I've been hoping they'd bring them back ever since. So I'm really happy I can play a dwarf lady again in this game.

Not absolutely sure when I'll get my copy, so people need to post screen shots of their wonderful dwarven quizzies so I can enjoy them too.

Should my dwarf wield daggers or a bow?
The spec will be Tempest

I know exactly what you mean! I'm probably going to spend an hour just making all my different characters before I actually even play the game!
And I'm so impatient- I spent a little extra to have the game delivered to me the day of release, but it's totally worth it!

Haha same. I will probably spend half a day on CC, and i might even jump into a bit of MP, just so i can play as/ unlock the dwarven alchemist ( who i assume uses tempest skills).
Cannot wait for this game.
Sorry, not always uptodate, but do you mean that you need to unlock the dwarven alchemist for MP, or do you mean that you need to unlock a specialisation for SP?
I am kinda worried now (<-- planned to play a dwarf tempest)

Regarding MP, im not sure whether all or only some of the characters will be available to play straight away in DAMP. If i do have to unlock that alchemist character, it will be a goal of mine. If not, then she and the necromancer will probably be my favourite characters to use in MP, being able to be selected straight away.
As for single player, i believe all specs will involve a quest to be unlocked.
Which is so much better than what was done in dragon age 2 o_0

Break the mold and use a bow!
Also, are crossbows exclusive to Varric?
