Hmh, making DA:O and DA2 playthrough with Dwarf Warden and the worry hit me. I remember that dwarf warden didn't get too much attention in DA2, only mention by Elthina... but she mentions every warden origin really.
Cullen and Leandra mention Amell warden. Anders won't shut up about mage wardens. Then there's Merrill and the dalish wardens. Couslands get some spotlight too, if they're royalty. But not dwarves, not a peep from Orzammar unless you supported Bhelen. At least, as far as I remember. Been long since I played DA2.
So, I have to wonder how much of the spotlight dwarven origins (imported) or dwarven people (in Orzammar) get in Inquisition? Anyone have a clue?
Maybe its a silly thing to worry about but I do! I want to know if Bhelen was successful reformist or if Harrowmont managed to screw everything up, or if my Dwarf Noble was made Paragon-King Under the Mountain?
Or should I pick Human Noble for my first world-state...

To be honest no one remembered my City Elf Warden - even though she burned down Amaranthine. It was like she didn't exist (even Leli failed to mention they were together). So don't feel bad for yourself ![]()

That's a very interesting idea, Tishina. My guess, and this is me trying to lower expectations so that I don't go in thinking every small choice had such a huge impact, is that if he keeps it, it will be more of a background/flavor dialogue + options (perhaps additional war table quest?) than something that radically alters a followers approval path. I like the idea though, quite a bit.
I'm thinking it may help determine how strong his approval/disapproval of red lyrium is, though probably nothing overt?

Having looked at DA Fan's character creation, I'm glad I stuck to simple hairstyles for my Quizzies. I'm really sad there are no dreads or even anything that looks a bit more complicated. Oh well.

With what they have done with the frostbite and knowing how hard it is to work with I am vary happy with what we have. Sure there are things I would love but lets hope the next DA game if it uses frost bite or another version of the same engine that they can add more of these things like cool hair styles.
Also that tumbler comic so cute :3

You know what makes Dwarves great? Their females can have beards!

But given the scope of the game, plus the fact that my hero will be dwarven as well... That'd be irritating if she never came up outside of generic warden dialogue.

I've heard that one of the videos released in the last couple of days had a female dwarf Inquisitor, but I missed it. Did anyone see her and maybe have the link?

Thought this would be the appropriate place to ask. There was a video recently (by DAFan, I think) that showed every hair style (the shared ones for humans, elves, and dwarves, as well as the qunari hair/horn combos). In it, he demonstrates beards on a qunari, but it zooms through so quickly that I can't see them all, even if I try to pause every chance I can. I can see some of the beards pretty clearly, but at least get a gist of those other beards even if I can't see them really closely. None of those looked to be long and braided. I seem to remember Mike and Cameron (I think) talking about the glory of the dwarf beard options and mentioning braids as part of it. So that leads me to ask:
1.) Does that mean that dwarves get unique beard options?
and
2.) If so, does anyone have a video or picture that shows all of them?
I know I can rely on my dwarven brethren for this one!

Awesome. That's the one that I remembered (vaguely). Yep, it looks like there are way more beards for dwarves than for qunari. Good for my dwarf. I want a nice full braided beard for him. Hopefully, there are a few of the close cropped beards for the qunari that I just couldn't see because of how quick it went. I saw one or two, but couldn't pause it to get a good look at them. I want something like the first beard in this video that they show the dwarf with, but for qunari. I do not want Santa Qunari.

Watching this a few times through, I still think she looks more like a hobbit than a dwarf, though the female dwarven body wasn't altered as drastically as I first thought (there's probably more change to her face). But there is at least one plus side - the female dwarf is too short for that silly feminized run to be noticeable (or maybe it's just the coat she's wearing; if so, I'll be putting coat-like armor like that on almost all of my female Inquisitors
.)

So you're going to play female dwarf after all? Awesome! Will it be your first PT?
I have to say now I'm actually excited to play Lady Hobbit. I'm down to two names - my heroine is going to be called either Merry or Cleo Cadash. I'll probably go with the first option.
Also after tommorow I'm going dark. I waited so long for DA:I - I don't want any spoilers.
