Dwarves are awesome....well, I enjoyed the Dwarf origans more than the others, and plus if I want to make a Avatar of myself in game, Dwarf suits me. [ as I am short.]
My cannon Origans is a noble. I can't wait to play one again. ![]()

I want a dwarf romance
Dagna or the adorable scarred scout leader for inquisition 4
Hmmmm, I'd like someone new actually.
I think my favorite thing about the dwarves in dragon age is how multifaceted they are. There's room for both good and evil in them, and they are so much more fleshed out than dwarves typically are in games.
I think the one thing I don't like, however, is the inability to go to the surface at all without becoming an outcast. It's seems a bit silly when they are the only ones that live down there and have dealings with other races. If anything, with their cast society, they should have a cast who's main purpose is as diplomats to the outside world, and act as ambassadors to other nations.
I want a dwarf romance
There were those Dwarves in the brothel in DAO...
That's not a romance, that's sex. The two are very very different things.
Some one needs to read the Lusty Argonian maid.
I have been rather quiet on this so I guess I will say my opinion.
IMO, in Thedas, dwarf - on - dwarf, especially heterosexual dwarf - on - dwarf romance, makes the most sense.
Why ? Because romance is the prelude for sex which is a prelude to reproduction. Romance is the the proximate cause and reproduction is the ultimate cause. Sexually dimorphic beings have sex to breed and to have pleasure. This is scientific fact. Its why sex and romance is fun.
Now if one looks at Thedas' population, the dwarves are the lowest. They are also the race with the lowest birth rate. They are also the race that has the highest death rate, especially underground dwarves with the Darkspawn threat.
Logically speaking, it would make a lot of sense to have dwarves mating and romancing the heck out of each other to keep the population up.
Yet for some reason, we have never had a dwarf - on - dwarf romance or a romanceable dwarf companion.
I am not a die-hard dwarf fan, I am more of an elf guy and I am not into romance much either but if you look at the situation rationally, it just boggles the mind to not have dwarf romances.
I mean yes, you can knock up the noble hunter if you do the quest that is part of the Dwarven Noble origin story as a male dwarf but still...
You would also think place like Orzammar would have started instituting state-sponsored or in this case, Assembly sponsored romance program, kind of what the Japanese are doing right now.
Yet for some reason, we neither see nor hear such things happening...
Yeah, I know logic and fantasy don't mix well but good story always have some logical elements to it.
Cheers. ![]()
Gotta add my support for the dwarves here. While I'm loving the fact that there are playable qunari for the first time, nothing will ever take away the awesomeness that is a dwarf! I'm planning both guy (dual wield rogue) and gal (sword and shield warrior) Cadash playthroughs. In fact, Ms. Cadash will probably the only lady Inquisitor that I play, similar to how Lady Aeducan and Ms. Brosca were the only lady Wardens that I played.
Well I have to add my voice to this thread. I am a huge Dwarf fan. My first run through Inquisition will most likely be a female Dwarf rogue. I switch that almost daily but I always come back to my Dwarf rogue that will prob fall hard for Sera.
My second Inquisitor will be a lady dwarf rogue who romances Mr. Cullen. Rogue seems more fitting with the Carta theme, while Aeducan was more of a warrior type.
I want a dwarf romance
Well you can romance someone as a dwarf... :v
(thats a joke I know what you mean)
Surprised no one has posted Dwarf images from the Inquisition webpage yet. The races and classes are up again. And I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm thinking of creating a Dwarf Archer. They look very cool.
It is an established point in the Lore that Dwarves are the dominant race of Thedas.
* Dwarves worship the Stone.
* Stone breaks scissors, which represent the technical aspect of other races.
* Scissors cut paper, which represents those races which produce Mages.
* Paper wraps Stone... *Woof*... burns in lava, which is used by the Dwarves, cools, and becomes Stone again.
* Repeat.
I need you all in my dwarf group! We can have dwarf parties all around! http://forum.bioware...-of-dragon-age/
I'm a dwarven fan!!

Also planning on playing a dwarf Inquisitor
depending on Vivienne LI status I'll play as her on 1st or 2nd playthrough
Also, I'm really excited to meet Dagna again if that's even a possibility(chantry wasn't pleased with her actions, I hope she's doing fine she's my gurl) ![]()
Anyone else excited about the dwarf characters for multiplayer? I like both the Legionnaire and the Alchemist and I'm glad they included both a male and a female dwarf to start off with. I can't wait to see what other kinds of dwarf characters they will add after release.
My most recent DA:O Playthrough was a Dwarf I'd attempted a long while ago (A Casteless Warrior) and he got trumped in favor of mages (Because I love mages, especially when I make them Sassy and Gay).
He's named "Denk" like Denk and Dr. Strange Orc, from the Oxhorn's Short Shorts series on Youtube, and he's a beardless Dwarf. He was never all that violent, and I made him Templar off the bat. Though he doesn't believe in the Chantry's Ideology at all, he found himself constantly doing something involving them. Whether it was helping out common folk via the Chanter's board. Or aiding Mages against violent/overbearing Templars with the Mage's Collective quests.
Being someone downtrodden for all of his life, he couldn't stand for it - and often routed for the underdog. But having been part of Bherat's Carta, he knew that sometimes one has to be underhanded to get things done. Taking the Crow missions to get aide during the Landsmeet, doing Slim's Pickpocketing/thieving quests to undermine Loghain and the upper class. Putting Bhelen on the throne, because he had the better politics.
That being said, I'm *So* torn on who to choose for my first playthrough.
Another Beardless Dwarf, Templar?
Sassy Gay Elf Mage? (Like my Warden)
Aequitarian slightly Loyalist Mage; who Sympathises with the Chantry, but despises Templar ruling them.
Sour and Dour Qunari Mage/Warrior - like my Profile Pic.
I just can't chooooose. *-*

They'll tease everyone by adding a dwarven mage. The only one in existence, who will be the only one there is or ever will be, is just a minor inquisition grunt who doesn't like to make waves or tell people about their magicness.
Honestly in DAI my CC priorities goes
1.Dwarfs
2.Qunari
3.Elfs
4.Humans
I honestly have little intrest playing as a Human unless the make Viv a RGated Romance for Humans only then I will play one after my other playthroughs.
