While I think the qunari female could have broader shoulders, I'm a lot happier with that build for a warrior now that I've seen her in gameplay. As far as I can tell, they didn't take the cheap out and make her the height of human men either, something I worried about.

Yeah she still has that annoying Bioware trend of females being rather slim.  But I do like that, like you said she is taller than a human man.  Makes her imposing.

I did as well :) but so far I am happy with all the races even if the dwarf ladies are less stauky than I thought they would be they are still adorible like always. I am hoping my Cadash in plate will look pretty imposing then again a super cuetsy hardass could be amusing to play too :P

I want to see her when you have her done and in full plate. I really, really wish they'd show us even a minute or two of footage of a female dwarf warrior in full armor. The closest I've been able to see so far has been that rogue on the German video, and it's hard to judge how much difference the armor might make.

I say look at cass you may have a decent idea or the scout lady she had medium chainmail so I expect to look respectably intimidating :3

Haha, me too, but iirc Tish isn't spoiler avoidant, so that might be an option. And of course if they're found, would love to see shots here! :)

Mmm, I'm hoping plate adds more bulk compared to that light chain mail which seemed pretty skinfitting. My only hope for having a convincing female dwarf warrior is if they use heavier armor to add the suggestion of muscle. I'm not holding my breath, but I can hope it occurred to someone that there might be people who actually wanted female warriors to look athletic and used the armor to compromise with the need to give all classes the same body types in cut scenes. Maybe even just one or two sets of armor that can bulk them out, seems like an easy fix to me (d**n, I'd even grind to get that armor, and I hate grinding for mats), but honestly, all indications are that they decided on one-size-fits-all for body types - mage-thin for all women, warrior-bulky for all men with the exception of the Dalish. (Don't mind me, I'll just be over her grinding my teeth every time I see a male mage who looks like he's been benchpressing farm animals  :P ).

Hopefully the EA early access people will get some good caps of the dwarven lady warrior for you, Tishina!

I hope so too! And no, I'm not spoiler adverse at all. If I can find one, I'll try to get screen shots for ya'll.

Tish and Chibi - I hope you will get a badass heavy armor for your warrioresses that will look amazing :D

For Merry I want a nice medium armor (no fugly leather tailcoat-ish they showed us so many times). I would love the one Harding is wearing.

Was hoping for a stockier/curvier dwarf for my canon Carta rogue but this will do! Can't imagine the build suiting a warrior without a buttload of massive armour though.

(Off tangent but since I was thinking about my potentially-Bullmancing Tashra Cadash and religion, and saw some people were talking about surfacer religion a few pages back - do you think dwarves might see an appeal in the Qun or be more for Andraste?

Qun: Everyone has a set place and they can live up to it, and dwarves have no mages so adapting to the system might be easier. BUT having a set place sounds similar to caste, and what happens if your new position still sucks?

Then there’s the Chantry, which doesn’t seem to think the Maker made dwarves. But religions change, and there’s also Brother Burkel, plus I can see a lot of casteless dwarves - with nothing to lose - being attracted to the idea of “all are equal in the Maker’s eyes.”

...also hi I'm new *awkward waving*)

The Qun would be good for the male dwarves, but not so much for the battle hard female dwarves. Most surface dwarves probably will stick to not believing in anything or take up their chances with the chantry, which I plan to explore on my first play-through. The glowing hand on a dwarf may influence some change in people mind. To be quite honest, I think the people are denying non-human as the herald, because they refuse to believe that the Maker's chosen could be only human.

First of all - Hi! Welcome to our Dwarven Family! :D

I'm pretty sure some surfacers are Andrastians - if City Elves can do it - then dwarves shouldn't be worse. And surfacers are more tolerant then Orzammar's crawd. My Merry will be an Adrastian.

As for Qun - I guess it's possible for dwarves to convert to Qun. However, I think it's more Elf thing. Also as Cespar said I very much doubt brave female dwarves would like Qun.

Tell us more about Tashra Cadash. Do you have her all planned out?  ;)

Oh yeah, I forgot about the gender roles in the Qun. I can imagine them having an OK impression of the Chantry though. It's the dominant surfacer religion - even though the religion is probably better in theory than practice - and they'd probably encounter their fair share of templars and mages due to the lyrium trade. If nothing else, Andrastianism is good business for lyrium-smuggling dwarves.

Hi and thanks for the welcome! :D Merry sounds adorable!

I'm leaning towards making Tashra an Andrastian as well. She's a practical Carta girl who loves the surface. She's a smuggler by trade, and uses her network to get herself all the new toys (grenades, darts, poisons, jars of bees...), and has a bad impression of elves because of an encounter with my Lavellan. Templar sympathetic because of encounters of lyrium addicts.

Thinking about Daggers/Tempest or Daggers/Artificer.

since we don't have Varric will the handsome Kaidan dwarf be romanceable I mean, he sounds like an excellent fellow.
