I love the dwarves more then any other race, but due to swimming in the river of spoilers and wanting to learn more about BW (by actually playing the game) I may choose another race first. (will feel weird but meh, gotta try something different sometime right?)

Right now, I think my Dalish Warrior Derzka will probably be my first PT, and I'll either use my Dalish warrior Misha/Morrigan or my CE rogue Cydia/Leliana for my WS. I didn't actually play DA2, but I think Misha's paired with a female Hawke mage/side with mages/killed Anders and Cydia's paired with a female Hawke rogue/side with mages/disapproved but Anders lived, both with Isabela romances.

 

For my dwarves, I have Zhenya paired with my female DN warrior, Ozera (Alistair/Zevran/US) and Volya paired with my female DC rogue, Koshka (Alistair mistress/chancellor).

Why didn't you play DA2? Are you planning to check it out once you finish with DA:I?

Several reasons, actually. One, I didn't want to be limited to human which I find the least interesting of the races (I couldn't see replaying it more than once for each class, so limited replay value as well); two, I didn't like the mage-templar conflict as the main focus or how Hawke was really pretty ineffective but ends up with the blame; three, I took one look at the female walk/stand animations and decided I'd stick to DAO where the women had animations that didn't so severely limit female personality (this was much more major for me than even most people who objected, because it completely eliminated all but an extremely limited range of female personalities in my opinion); and four, I was introduced to DAO late enough that I knew DAI was already in progress. I've watched YouTube videos of PTs of DA2 (skipping most of the running around so I didn't have to watch the animations). My daughter offered to let me play hers, but frankly, it's still more fun to start yet another PT of DAO. I also didn't find the LIs other than Isabela that interesting, though I actually considered that a fairly trivial point and I'd have romanced all of them at least once.

 

I also don't expect to be done with DAI for years if it's as good as it's looking.

It's one of the reasons I pushed Zhenya down the list of my PTs; I want that to be a particularly memorable PT because I think she'll be my favorite (and I very often never make it through my initial PT at all). I'm also hoping by that time, I can find the best ways to mask the things that are disturbing me about the animations and bodies.

Three more days, guys! We finally get to play a dwarf again since 2009. This has been one fun journey following the development. Being extremely disappointed at the beginning of the development, because of human-only again. But then they announced the races as playable again, and I was so excited to play a dwarf with a voice and personality. My warden dwarf had a personality, but somethings I actually wanted to hear. 

 

I couldn't hold myself back from all the recent spoilers on the forums, but I can't wait to experience all of those things as a dwarf. Really these spoilers only increased my hype for the game, and I know I'll forget most of them when I actually play the game!

Although the female walk doesn't really bother me - I had always a trouble with being forced to play as a human in DA2 - since I prefer dwarves and elves. So I fully understand you. Thx for explanation

simple but effective choices, though I am on a coke free diet atm, probably going to be stalking up on lots of tea though, none sweet ofcourse I do love ice black and white tea mixed.

haha fair enough Earl grey is great stuff. I enjoy it usually mid morning or sometime when I get from work but my go to is usually an Arnold Palmer or black and white tea as both those are so taisty also anyone else getting a slight ME feel on some of these songs from the soundtrack?

Arrrg my dumb boss is suddenly "swamped" with work and telling me I might have to work on the 18th....  I took it off ages ago. 

 

On topic I also like playing all the races.  I think I will play it in order of a Dwarf Rogue, Elven mage, Human mage, Dwarf warrior, and then when I get around to it a Quinari (I strangely have next to no interest in playing a Quinari)

 

As for snacks I think I will have some Coke Zero and Tostitos.
