Nice! Unfortunately, the lighting in CC (just like in DA:O) is totally different then in the game itself. I took me about 5 to 6 attempts to set everything (and by that I mean complexion, skin color, make up and eyes) right. It's tiring, but IMO the end result was worth all the effort.

Thanks! I wanted to get in my practice on other races. I'm not terribly good with this sort of thing, and I'm still trying to decide how to go about creating a dwarf who looks more mature. It seems to be really easy to go to the extremes in age on this CC, not so easy to hit late 20s to mid 30s, I think, at least for women.

Nice!  She's pretty.  I love that half-shaved with a braid haircut on a lady Inquisitor.  It's badass. 

 

 

Yeah, the coloring in the CC isn't great.  I will still never understand why no one ever puts in a 'change the lighting source' toggle in a CC.  You could click a button and it would shift the lighting source through different intensities and directions so you could see how your character will look once they get out in the world.

 

Thanks, I'm definitely going for badass, and that fit. I kind of wanted to go with one of the really short curly hair styles, but they looked all wrong when I tried it.

 

Oh good news: if I stick to a large shield, it mostly screens the animation I dislike, so one problem down!

 

The lighting in the CC was awkward, but even more was the inability to change from front to profile while adjusting things like nose and jaw. I made sure I checked everything in profile so I didn't get any unpleasant surprises (and man, did some of those changes look bizarre in profile).

That's particularly bad on the qunari males, since their heads are so big.  When you are in close up mode (for things like eyes and nose), their faces end up being obscured by the text and/or side of the screen.  It was challenging to get the nose right for my qunari from profile.

In addition to different lightning settings in the CC, I would like to see:

Testing out different facial animations. I notice that in the CC as it is, the Inquisitor always has a neutral expression even when testing out the more emotive lines.

The ability to make the inquisior stand completely straight and still. It matters A LOT when you're doing the more subtle slider changes that the inquisitor's face stays in the same position.

Yea, Dave is right. I spended more time in the character creation and I think I like Cesdric now. But my break is over, so time for school! :/.

I did the same thing.  I recreated Talan (my qunari warrior) once, Agathe (dwarf warrior) twice, Graeme (dwarf rogue) once, Kost (qunari mage) twice, and Hissra (qunari rogue) once.  I'll likely do another round on both Kost and Hissra, as well.

 

I'm glad I did with Agathe and Graeme.  They are probably my favorite looking PCs ever.  I'm really impressed with the dwarves in this game.  Graeme, in particular, is absolutely my favorite looking PC in any Bioware game.  Glad I did a round of edits yesterday.

I am definitely going to recreate Hella, despite finishing the game with her. I'm going to wait until there are patches though, because I got hit by the banter bug, the voice actor switch bug, and the glitch where you can't ever do Dorian's personal quest SOOOO. Gonna replay the whole thing later. Hella's story is not "right" even beyond her lipstick and a few minor facial tweaks I'd make.

Especially frustrated about the banter (for obvious reasons) and Dorian ( he's her best friend!!! Ugh!!!), but I have been speedig trough other Pts.

One of my favorite things to do is see what different things the dwarves at the ball have to say. the one if you keep Branka alive is...horrifying

I'm really disappointed with the lack of Vivienne's skin tone. The one "dark" tone that we have doesn't even look right. I think Cespar is probably one of my favorite character that I have created in a bioware game.

I really want to make Cesdric come close to him, but not too similar.

I made Olim white so that I wouldn't run into that, but he ended up pasty as heck and with weirdly grey hair instead of black??? I don't understand the CC, clearly.

That's OK, I started with black hair that turned brown after I finished the prologue

Same I got my Qunari, who I love! And got Iggie Make two more races and then enjoy the world of Thedas even more

I should make a thread in the feedback and suggestion to add Vivienne's tone, because I like playing characters of my tone.  I think the grey hair thing is a bug. I'm starting to wonder what Bioware was doing with that extra month!  . I'm at school, and I'm ready to go home and play with Cesdric!!!!!!!!!

I knew Shale wasn't back in DAI, but I don't think she gets even a mention in a mission or dialogue, does she? Darn it, I love Shale and was hoping the Cadash connection might at least get a mention of what's happened to her. I know she was DLC, but so was Sebastian.
