Dorian talks about how dwarves are seen in Tevinter and that he thinks Feraldans/Orlesians have a much more limited view of them. He's very pleased that you're the Herald of Andraste, because you can tear down stereotypes together. It's a fun bonding moment, whereas with elf/Qunari, you address the cultural issues between your people and can argue/come to an understanding.
Yea that's why I grew closer to him, and because of his wits and sarcasim.

I romanced Josephine with my dwarf. No issues with the animations.
You even get a dwarf-specific flirt line asking if Josephine likes bad boys/girls.

Well, fellow dwarf-fans, I decided to take the plunge today. I was fortunate to be gifted a copy of DA: I for the XBONE last night by a good friend of mine. Of course, I didn't have an XBONE, so it served as the motivation for me to trade in my PS3 and about 25 games across three different systems (including DA: I for the 360, which netted me a solid $30 in trade-in value) in order to get myself an affordable XBONE console. It's updated and ready to go. In fact, right now, it's installing DA: I.
The bad news, I have to say goodbye to that handsome guy in my avi, as well as my badass lady dwarf. The good news, I can recreate them in HD glory and enjoy the game the way it was meant to be played: on a current gen system.
I'll make sure to include pics of my brand-y new, HD beautified dwarves in a bit!

Ahahaha, I loved that flirt so much. Josie's conversation in general with Cadash is adorable.

I'm romancing Josephine or Cassandra with Edric Cadash. Haven't decided yet. It will hinge if I make Cassandra into my main tank.
Interestingly, without spoiling much, if I where making a female dwarf I think Blackwall (given his past) would be an interesting LI due to the Dwarven Inquisitor's background.
I think that's what they intended with Blackwall, and while I've come around to what they did with him, I think Sera's a much better match to Zhenya's personality (ironically I unknowingly created her with specific issues with exactly his problems, and she wouldn't be the same character at all if I changed her that much

Cool! I look forward to seeing the new dwarves!
Honestly, if I could walk into the local computer store and buy a laptop that ran DAI with Win 7 as the OS, I'd do it and try to sell my almost new laptop. But they all have Win 8 on them, and I can't be paid enough to take a computer with that OS on it. So, I just have to hold on until I can play on the desktop (and sneak onto my daughter's at every opportunity). ![]()

I'm pretty sure I've seen Blackwall, Josephine, and Cass romances, is anyone romancing IB, Sera, or Dorian with a dwarf (actually, I'm pretty certain I've seen a dwarf-Dorian in here now that I think about it)? I was curious about how those are playing out for people. I notice on a Blackwall romance, they mostly deal with the height difference by suddenly making them much closer in height
, though from the dwarf specific conversation between them, I think he was written, partly, with female dwarves in mind.
Some of these scenes are cringe-worthy because of the height adjustments (hello EXTREME FACE CLOSEUPS), but it's still way better than DAO's tent scenes**. I haven't beaten the game yet, but I don't mind light spoilers. I only recall one dwarf conversation with Blackwall where he acknowledges her carta background. I hope there are more. Here's why I sometimes struggle with the Cadash/Blackwall pairing:
(**As a side note for those reading this thread/considering trying out dwarves in DAO in the future, I 100% recommend the Alistair + female dwarf romance mod by tmp7704 at http://social.bioware.com/project/2418/. All the dialogues are the same, just the animations play out better. Instead of the dwarf magically being taller, Alistair will bend down to his knees instead. Immersion is so much better.)

Okay. I've done my best to recreate them. I think I got them mostly where I need them to be.
Here's Graeme:
Here's Agathe:
And, not totally relevant to this thread, here's Talan (my qunari who was my first playthrough and will be my "canon" Inquisitor)
Overall, I'm already blown away with the difference in the graphics between the two. Now, I'm off to disappear for at least ten hours (that will put me firmly at 3:00am) to try to catch Graeme up to where he was (through the Hinterlands and starting to recruit everyone else). I've also now got to re-unlock all of the DAMP characters. I must have the Alchemist. She's my gurl!

I really like Agathe (and the others). The stubble on Graeme looks much better than most of the stubble I've seen.

There is something i can't find in DA;I, something that was greatly done in the Witcher. It's not only about dwarfs but races overall. They are all the same except for appearance ofc.

Since it has been a while since I posted pictures…. Here Cesdric Cadash's adventure. I like him better than Cespar, because I got the right tone for him and hair color. Plus favorite facial hair:

HA! Ship away, veeia! You know that I'm not happy with Sera or Josephine for Agathe, but I wanted her with a lady, so this might work out best for her! She'll likely settle for Blackwall, but she'd drop him for a second for another lady dwarf! ![]()

Ok, I have two questions:
1. Is Deft Hands, Fine Tools perk worth taking? I need it to complete Blackwall's Memories of Warden quest.
2. Which perk do I need to buy inquisitor armor?
I got to conclusion that Cassy is my favorite companion. Damn you BW for making her strict heterosexual.
