When I visit Dragon Age Inquisition's official site, about the Collector's Edition for PC, I receive this information:

" Why can't I get the PC Deluxe Edition in my country? - Unfortunately, we are unable to deliver the PC Deluxe Edition in some regions. However, the Digital Deluxe version is available for PC through Origin. "

I'm from Spain. Does that mean that, just because I'm from Spain (Europe), I'm not even allowed to preorder or purchase the Inquisitor's Edition for PC? Just because I'm out of the U.S?

If that is indeed the case, I can not even describe how miserable it feels that you're excluded like that as a Dragon Age fan. I've purchased every Dragon Age game (not only once, but several copies), DLCS, books (just finishing The Masked Empire right now), and I was looking forward for the acquisition of my Collector's Edition. And now because some genius decided to make it Gamestop exclusive, I can not get my hands on it.

If it's all about the business, and BioWare or EA won't consider every fan across the world the same, and they choose instead to make distinctions between countries, I for one feel terribly mistreated. And will act in consequence getting the cheapest offer I can find, and completely avoiding to purchase any future DLC/expansion/product for the game. That's not how you keep your fans.

There is already a thread in the News & Announcement section of the forum. There was also another thread in the Scuttlebutt section. You should try the search function ;). If you have Gamestop stores in Spain, you should ask there if they still have an Inquisitor Edition left though it might be that the are all sold out by now.

In this day and age, telling people they can't deliver a product in certain regions is ridiculous! There is clearly more to it than what they are admitting to, probably some kind of political situation.

Other game companies (like CD Project RED) can do it, so why is it that Bioware always have these "problems" with getting the same product out to everyone?

I guess we'll never know...

I've tried the search function, thank you.

And I've already asked the gamestop stores about the Inquisitor's Edition, and it just won't be sold in Spain.

So it might be that I did my research before actually posting this message, and it might be that your assumptions are completely wrong.

My point was to let BioWare and the community know, the Collector's Edition won't even be offered to some countries for no reason, which in my opinion is completely unfair and unexplainable, and it speaks poorly of them.

These are the kind of things that alienate fans from BioWare and it's products.

Wow... Got out of the wrong side of the bed  ?

I didn't make that post to lecture you and I'm sorry if it sounded like that. I wrote it because other users were having similar problems and I thought if you would read the other threads you might a) not feel so alone in this or b )  maybe get an idea what to do about it.

Your point is clear and it is already being discussed by the community here , here and here.

And it's not that I don't sympathize. I wanted a hardcopy of the Deluxe Edition (for PC) which they won't sell in my country either.

With any decent savegame editor down the road for DA:I you'll be able to give yourself anything "shipped" with the game, and that include "special items". What many people fail to realize is how much "hidden content" you can access (even with plain console commands). In ME3 you could even give yourself a DLC companion (feel free to goggle up that DLC controversy for some fun reading) without even having the DLC because it partially was "included" (probably later cut out just to sell as a DLC).

My advice is this: make sure to get the PC version of DA:I (trust me on this), you'll thank me later when you'll see all the fantastic mods...

I apologize for that.

I'm indeed very frustrated because in gamestop I can see it's available **everywhere** (or it was) with the only exception of Spain, and it got me mad beyond words, 1. Because I can't explain it, 2. Because I had saved up already for it.

I contacted one of our gamestop stores and they just told me it won't be comercialized in Spain.

So yeah, I'm pretty butthurt about it and I can not touch this topic without losing it a bit, but you're not to blame for that anyway.

The worst thing is, I see it available on Ebay already for 400-500€, BioWare/EA is supporting this kind of cheap (imho) black market, I'm not given a choice to even attempt to purchase one from gamestop and if I want my Inquisitor's Edition I must pay 500€ for it to somebody.

Fantastic.

Thanks for your advice, I was commited to buy the PC version anyway, I just won't pay the 40-60€ it costs in official stores, I refuse to pay more than 30€ for it.

It is indeed sad because BioWare makes my favourite games by a long shot, so I was open to be generous with this sequel and pay the full price.

Won't happen though.

I understand your anger asdoorip, I'm also from Spain and I won't be able to buy the Inquisitor Edition either, basically because it is only sold in the U.S. by Gamestop, and that's a shame because, as a collector, I like to gather all the possible things of the franchises I love. I guess we (Europeans) will have to be satisfied with the Deluxe Edition  -_-.
