Yep just did a playthrough last week.  As someone who can not stand to leave a locked chest locked I always roll a rogue now.  I also like to dual wield and attack speed is important to me I go with daggers.  As for origin that doesn't matter as much to me but I will say that after playing DA:O countless times I can not help but meta game some so if feel like sparing Loghain I will use a man human noble, marry Anora, feed daddy to AD, and jail Al etc.

City elf is my favorite Origin start especially as a female followed by noble dwarf which makes Orzammar fun.  Only one I really can't get into is dalish elf I guess I am to much of a shem.  Mage one makes me mad since we are betrayed no matter what.

The upcoming release of Dragon Age: Inquistion hasn't so much compelled me to start new characters (since I already have almost as many that I'm probably never going to beat as I have characters I already have) as it has to get all the Origins playthroughs I've finished through Awakening (which I bought myself for Christmas.) I might even use my last few Bioware points that I have from Christmas 2012 to buy GoA and have my characters through that before Inquisition comes out.

I've played the Mass Effect trilogy a few times.

I finished a playthrough of DA2 a couple of weeks ago. Played as a sarcastic female mage.

I might do another playthrough of DAO as an arcane warrior.

I recently did a swan song playthrough of the DA series. It's what I plan to use for The Keep. In both games I was a female mage but their personalities were completely different.

Female Surana is my favorite since mage gets so many lovely lines in the game AND the best Teagan flirt line.  I've done all the origins at least once, my favorite being Human Noble with a close second by Female City Elf.

Not too worried as I don't really have 'canon' choices on my Surana (who will be my first Keep selection) and have played so much I think I've played myself out on both Origins AND DA2.  Looking forward to Inquisition if my computer can run it.  Guess I will find out.

In the meantime I've been playing World of Warcraft and Star Wars, biding my time till Inquisition is released.

I restarted my new full DA run weeks back to get back into Thedas before Inquisition, and it's a toss up between male/female City Elf rogue and female Human Noble rogue as my favorite in DA:O, though I chose the latter to be my "canon" Warden, with female rogue Hawke. It's basically all female rogues for my epic journey, because why the frak not.

I'm not burned out from playing ME. Will be starting an ME3 playthrough in a few minutes and I've played the game numerous times.

I find myself winding down a bit with Mass Effect also. I'm in the middle of a new playthrough, but it may be a very long time until I start another after that.

I'm currently in the process of redoing all my play throughs. I'm on my Fem Human Mage. Then I will go to my Fem Dalish Elf, then my Fem Human Noble rogue archer. Debating about a city elf again.

I have never been able to play a dwarf, I can barely get out of the Origin story with either of them. Why? Because I can't stand being so short! Hurts my neck just looking at my dwarf talking to people that are twice her size. I nearly didn't play elves for the same reason. But since they weren't AS short, I could tolerate it (plus playing as a short elf always bugs me. Whenever I envision an elf I think tall. As tall or taller than a human. Not one of Santa's  gnomes).

I'm also going to be trying something different with my current mage, see if I'm able to save two different endings (One where I don't have the DR done and sacrifice myself. And one where I do. I'm hoping I can, because I would really like to avoid having to do another mage right after to get the endings I want, since the ending is the only difference I want between the two).

And then of course I will go into DA2 to complete the stories. Which I already have my "main" back story saved and ready. Origins:A Fem Human Mage in Origins that romanced Alistair and stayed with him in the Grey Wardens and made Anora queen. DA2: Male Hawke Mage that romanced Isabela(First time I have EVER played a male ANYTHING), sided with the mages all the way through.

I prefer playing mages in both games. Mostly because I can't melee... EVER. I'm terrible at it. I'm not a big fan of the archer rogue because it just seems to me they get the short end of the stick when it comes to any thing worth while. I also like doing a Human Mage in Origins because I like that link between Hawke and the Warden being related.

Unfortunately it is taking me longer to play through Origins because I get easily distracted making mods lol

I'm tempted to, but I basically have my canon state now. If there's some special mod (something minor, not canon altering), I might decide to, but right now I'm leaning against another full run.

It does sound tempting, though, just to get a DA fix in. LOL

2 weeks ago I imported one of my unfinished (=never completed the entire DAO campaign) characters to DA2 and finished a full play through on xbox. A few days ago I just finished a full play through of DAO on PC and am starting another one. I abandoned a Human Noble Rogue I started this past week because welp the mods I installed for her face was bothering me and some mods were incompatible and I couldn't get her to look the way I wanted

I prefer playing mages, period. It's more fun to do combos with spells than just hacking IMO. That's just my preference. Also since I actually prefer the combat from DA2 (it's just more snappy, quick, feels as epic as a mage should IMO) I think I'm going to install a faster combat mod.

As far the ME series- I spent the last 2 years playing the multiplayer as my sole gaming entertainment and I'm in retirement I suppose  :crying:. I have played the entire series campaign a few times through and I'll revisit it one day. Given that an ME4 is being made right now I'll probably do the same thing prior to that releasing. (and yes yes I know no Shepard blah blah)

Originally I wanted to do my play throughs of DAO and DA2 just to re familiarize myself with all the little details. But I find myself having slipped down the rabbit hole and now am up to my eyeballs and enjoying DAO more than ever

I regret buying an xbox1 copy to play DAI. I should have just picked up a PC copy. Oh well I'll get the PC version on sale later on.

Are we going to be able to cross platform all of our characters in The Keep btw? Such as : I played a character on PC in DAO can I import her to DAI (decisions wise) to Xbox1 you think?

Near as I can figure the Import feature has been replaced entirely.  Keep allows you to set a world state, not import a game, so if you played on PC and wanted to use that world state on Xbox, (or vice versa) you enter those choices when creating the world, you don't import the game itself.

Things I've heard about Inquisition make me nervous anyway.  I'm afraid my PC graphic card won't handle it, and Bioware has yet to release system requirements (as far as I know) and there will be NO health regen and limited potions/healing spells, and they've completely eliminated my favorite mage spec (spirit healer).  Not sure Inquisition is going to be playable by me (who sucks at these games) even on easy mode.

Still hoping though.

Yeah I'm worried also. I heard about the move towards no healers and I'm kind of freaked out. My mage deals a lot of DPS but I always back her up with a the Spiritual Healer spec with at least the Group Heal and Revive. That way I don't have to bring another mage if I don't want to- and it helps to manage heals vs cooldowns from using potions if my party is getting demolished (such as in the Black Marshes in Awakening recently battling that spirit dragon  <_<). I don't know if this is heresy but I like to roll with 3 tanks and one mage and I just use the LockBash mod because I don't want to deal with always having a Rogue

This game series, Dragon Age, is harder than the ME series. I can play ME backwards and forwards on Insanity without batting an eye and play multiplayer on Platinum. But I can only do Normal and Hard difficulty in the Dragon Age series so far . I suspect I suck at builds for the Dragon Age series  :pinched:

My ancient computer will absolutely not be able to run DA:I, so there's no excitement, anticipation, or preparation on my part. I found a brainless MMO (Neverwinter) to take up most of my gaming time, and packed my fond memories of being madly in love with the Dragon Age 'verse away with a sweet-smelling Andraste's Grace and Lothering rose sachet. :P

Well there is at least a little bit of a silver lining- maybe by the time you can get your gear up to spec, all the good mods will have been created  :D

I'm actually going to play Baldurs Gate...sometime whenever I'm done with the DA series.

Maybe... I recently played through DA:O and started a DA2 file, but the latter was too boring for some reason, so I abandoned it (it's odd since I though DA2 was a decent game).  I'm considering playing DA:O again, but I can't decide between a Cousland Warrior and a Dalish Rogue.  My favorite (and canon class) is Mage, but I just played as one so that's probably not a good idea...

I'm actually in the middle of doing another playthrough of DAO through DA2 in preparation for DAI. I stopped just before the Dark Ritual last night and went to bed, so I will beat DAO today. Then on to Awakening, GOA, Witch Hunt, and DA2.

I'm currently playing a HNF S&S Reaver/Berserker Warrior. Warriors are actually my least favorite build in DAO; however, I'm doing this run on the PS3 this time, and one of the few trophies I didn't have unlocked was the one where you have to reach Level 20 as a warrior. So, I figured I'd kill two birds with one stone.

I usually play DAO on the PC because of lovely mods, and while I have DA2 for the PC, I only have the DLCs for DA2 on the PS3, so that's why I decided to play on the PS3 for this run. I refuse to spend almost $30 again to get the three storyline DLCs for DA2 for the PC. That's way too expensive for something so old. :P

I've been working on my play-throughs as well. I have several to choose from already but I guess I'm just making sure I missed nothing out. Been saving the game before critical choices and branching off from each choice so I have a wide variety of play-throughs to choose from. My "perfect" saves!

I've played all origin stories except the Dwarven ones. They just never really appealed to me. I may, however, be inclined to do so just for something different to take into the other games.

My favourite is the female Rogue Human Noble, mainly because I love the origin story the most, Zevran is my favourite romance option and I like these two together. That said I love the mages skills/abilities in Origins. It troubles me to hear about there being no Spirit Healer ability in Inquisition as I always have a well rounded mage in the party with at least the group heal and revival. I loved the Cleansing Aura as well, came in very handy.

I've played the Dragon Age series on both Xbox and PC, my preference is PC as there are some fantastic mods out there and for me personally, I feel playing on the PC allows for better tactical gaming.

I'm concerned about that too. My arcane mage always had a healing aspect....i liked it. Especially when I had Alistair in party.. hope they keep it.

I replayed as well.  I has been at least 2-3 years since I played origins.  So far I am having a blast and really surprised by that after some time has passed.  I did a dwarf noble and just finished the game now doing Awakening with the dwarf noble.  I did an ending I never did before, I put Queen Anora on the throne.  Alistar is stil a grey warden and he is morrigan's god-baby daddy.  Also no romance (but that may change for awakening).  I also killed flemeth.  So I am curious to see how morrigan will play out being a friend instead of an LI and not being the god baby daddy.

I am going to do another noble human, kill the elves this time and make Loghain do the US.

I have a few campaigns on-going that are currently stalled; have re-played so often that I have eliminated most variations for my games. Still have not used Ranger, Shifter, Reaver, and really only enjoy 2H for Warriors.

Cannot aid those that cannot bear the height difference for Dwarves, but the DN Origin allows for the most lucrative playthrough, esp with his continued contact with Gorim. It is kinda nice to have one Companion for the entire story for a change. And it allows for a bit more personal take on the Orzammar quest later.

And the DC Origin also involves some personal views and opinions to influence choices later. It went so bad on my very first session that the Ultimate Sacrifice was easier to choose than it should have been. On later campaigns, he became 'hardened' to certain aspects of the story, and resulted in different results.

But I have never been able to make a decent appearing female Dwarf, so have not gotten out of the Origins with equal representation. Am hoping the CC for DAI will allow for easier customization overall to achieve desirable results.

All of the remaining tales have been completed; male and female with all classes available. Fave Origin is a tie between HN and DN; fave conclusion is a tie between HN and DE. Enjoy the rest of them, too; nothing eliminated due to personal tastes.
