anyone plan on picking up the 5th book? 3 weeks away and i need my DA fix until Inquisition!
i cant seem to find any other info on it besides the synopsis. Based on the synopsis its kinda hard to narrow down when i takes place. it sounds like to be its almost immediately after the 5th blight. it may also shed light into how the griffons ended. (last flight, hurdur) anyone else have info or speculations?

It takes place after the Blight and after Asunder where the Circles 'shut down', and the protagonist is an elf mage who comes to the Wardens. But it's going to have flashbacks of the Wardens from back when the griffins were still alive because the mage is studying their history and finds secrets. I think that if you don't have an account on amazon you get a proper preview without it letting you read the whole thing (it was that way for me).
I plan on buying it. I still haven't finished the Calling (only book I haven't read), but I will read the new book first if it arrives on time.

Amazon has a preview of the book. However, some people's previews went all to the end,Mao you might not want to spoil yourself. The wiki has an overview of that, though it's fairly spoilery, too.
Wow, that's a heck of a preview if it goes all through the book.
I don't think I'll be buying the book, wait till I can get it from the library (not much spare money for books

Picking this up, yep! Excited.
Apparently some folks got previews through Amazon which detailed events in a chapter not too far off from the end, so be mindful where you step for fear of major spoilers. I avoided most of 'em, but not all!

I will pick It up at some point but I still need to get the Masked Empire first.

Some peoples' previews stopped relatively early, but others jumped to a chapter near the end, which contained big spoilers.

That setup they've got going on over there lately just does not make much marketing sense to me at all. They should all stop early.

The Grey Warden mission in Inquisition must be pretty important if they got a whole book dedicated to it.

Rule #1 of fantasy - if the story expresses that something is "myth" or "extinct" or "never existed" - you can bet it'll show up.

I already pre-ordered back before the release of The Masked Empire. I just then have to wait for the slow Amazon shipping when they ship overseas...

So maybe its a prequel story of sorts, that might tie into an expansion pack for DA:I?

Obviously. There's no Dragon Age without the Wardens.

I was a bit annoyed when I learned that it had been pushed back to the 16th. I was looking forward to reading it yesterday when I first learned of the book (a month back)

Looking forward to this book. I need something to read besides articles about dengue fever and Durkheim's various writings.
