Not sure what OP likes about Sera...in my opinion she is worst looking female character..that needs body graphic update.

But I would say that all females in DA:I is...dissapointing..Josephine aside maybe..and still..heh I say it again and again...male LI options is just 100x better :)

Sorry they all don't look like barbie dolls

Is it too much to ask for a "sexy elven female" companion?

I thought that was tradition in medieval fantasy rpgs :P

Times have changed. Games have changed.  You have been conditioned by pop culture to think that.

Which is not to say I don't like them, but none of them really seem to be my type of romance. I am a heterosexual who is agnostic, and I generally like to roleplay my characters within those boundaries. Which is to say my religious beliefs are important because I treat the chantry similarly to how I treat such things in real life. I feel like Cassandra/Cullen will be too religious for my tastes, and of course both of them have been portrayed thus far as a bit hardened. I don't see a ton of emotional resonance coming from them.

Sera is the only one of the romance interests out of the 6 revealed so far that looks like a fun romance for me, but she's a lesbian. Which is of course not to say I mind homosexual romance options, I don't. It's just I feel like the romance options available to me are fairly thin. I'm also disappointed by thus far revealed romance options because this more or less confirms I won't be able to have the love interest I choose on my party.

I'm hoping at least one of the two romance interests that are yet to be revealed are more my speed. I really just want a cute girl character who is good with people. Or someone independent and strong but nice. I guess I'm picky like that. From what we know of Josephine that actually sounds a lot like her doesn't it? I just haven't seen much of her yet so I'm not sure what to think as far as that's concerned just yet. I'm hoping she's what I'm looking for. I'm going to look up some more stuff about her! :D

Mostly though I just hope that the non-party member romance interests will actually be complete romances. The romance options included thus far that are not on the MC's party (in Bioware games so far) never seemed to be as compelling as the party romance options. Here's hoping I'm wrong!

What do you hope from the two romaining romance interests yet to be revealed? If you're disappointed a bit like I am why?

I agree wholeheartedly, the game seems great but the options I've been presented with i.e a chantry supporter, a chantry supporter and a diplomat just doesn't interest me.

Well - my initial impression is that I'm not overly excited about "another gay mage" and "Zevrin on steroids" as I call Dorian and IB - but it has nothing to do with appearances.  So who knows how I "actually" feel since I know extremely little about either character.

As for the rest - don't care, won't romance (unless there's another BI/Gay male option.

I don't usually focus on the looks too much, so I am not thrown off with the looks of the romance options. But, I focus more on personality and backstory. Since I prefer to play straight females, that narrows my choices to Iron Bull, Cullen, and either Solas or Blackwall (depending on who is romanceable). Will I romance the girls with the boy inquisitor? Probably, but right now, I will be focusing on the boys I can get with my female Quizzies. :P

So you are saying that both of them should be lesbians? Greedy much?

Alot of her gay fans were hoping she would perhaps be bi, never expected Cass to be a strictly gay LI myself. Many were hoping for a happy middle ground, the chances of this were slim though but we still remained hopeful and yeah it didn't work out. As disappointed as I was with this I actually prefer the system we have now, everyone has a preference, makes the characters more real in a sense.

I'm sad I don't get Varric, but I'll get over it. I'm just happy to see him again. Other than that? Not disappointed in the least. I'm excited to try out all the romance options. Including playing my first game with a male/male romance because I wanna see Dorian's romance.

if the game is good then i wont mind if the LI's are substandard

and if the game is poor then i will have other things to complain about

LI's are little more than windowdressing which at their best in bioware games (bastila, alistair etc etc) add a little more depth to the character and at their worst (tali.......well, everyone in citadel but especially tali) are momentarily cringeworthy

in short, i dont care and have wasted your time, good evening

As long as the LI's are deep and interesting (and they are so far). Then I'll be happy.

I'm just sad that all the knight in shining armor and Prince Charming type LI have been straight. Alistair, Sebastian, and Cullen. It would have been nice to finally have one playing for another team. I'll probably get over by the time the game is released, but my interest in engaging in the romance content is pretty low atm.

I don't like many of the LIs in this game either, so what?

BW doesn't tailor the game to the specific wishes and desires of every customer.

I was pretty disappointed that Varric was not romance-able.  I am uninspired by any of the options thus far. Very bummed out about Varric actually.  I like Dorian and so I may play a male for him and I don't normally play make characters at all, I did a city elf for Zev in DAO but never finished the playthru Orzammar got me.

Right now I have no interest in the LI's for the game complete indifference.  But the game may change that. So I am looking at the other aspects of the game with interest but for now am off the romance train.

1) I'm bi,
2) I'm not only a woman anyway,
and 3) to address your other post, I wanted Cass to be bi, not a lesbian.

I'm only annoyed they haven't outright said who the last two love interests are, even though I know I won't be disappointed.

To be honest, I am a little disappointed about the straight female options so far.  All the other options I adore, though. How anyone couldn't love Josie is beyond me and Casandra looks amazing, too.  Dorian and Sera I can't wait to romance either, eventually.  However, I'm not a fan of Cullen and while I do plan on romancing Iron Bull, just have to see him with a dwarf, he's just not my type.  Not to mention they're both warrior types and if Blackwall is the other option that will make it three.  I'm sure it'll be Solas and Vivi as the last options and I'm really excited about Solas!

Yeah, I am definitely disappointed about the options for my male inquisitors; this is only "personal" disappointment, as the writing team have done an awesome job creating a diverse cast of characters that appeal to lots of people.

I romance male characters with guys (and females with girls), so for me I've only got Dorian and Iron Bull for my guys at present. I sadly do not like Dorian's look and Iron Bull is okay, but was my third choice. Cullen was my first choice, and my second is Blackwall. *fingers crossed*

As for my female inquisitors, I am very, very happy about getting Sera and Josephine! Those were the two I wanted. But I don't enjoy my f/f romances the same way I do my m/m romances, so there's a great deal of anxiety going on right now as we all wait for those final two LIs.
