Exactly. This multiplayer thing with no pausing, no strategy and no tactics...Its not DA...
Except you can play DA SP exactly like this if you want.

Hopefully on the hardest difficulties, this will playout like some of the hardmode flashpoints in SWTOR, which require coordination and specific skills. Traditional holy trinity style tanking, healing and DPS. I love SWTOR and the HM FPs and operations, so this is going to be right up my alley.
I highly doubt they will force the trinity on the MP, when you dont need it in the SP.
Because After ME3 and now this Bioware's word ain't worth squat,Words can't express how angry I am at Bioware for ruining a Franchise by appealing to the lowest of low common denominators by tacking on a MP mode.Well this is the last time I will ever trust Bioware enough to pre order or to get on Day 1, from now on I'm going to wait till their games are at least 50% off since clearly they knew this all along and have bring stringing those of us who hate MP along.
Will playing MP be required to get the full-game experience?
· No. The SP campaign is separate from MP. In SP, you have the support of three specialists who can send agents to missions. MP characters are agents. At the start of a MP mission, you will hear one of the specialists explaining the goal of your mission.
Is MP going to affect my endings in SP?
· No. Absolutely not. Our goal with Dragon Age multiplayer is not to affect your SP campaign. We simply want to give our fans the chance to play with their friends for the first time in theDragon Age universe.

Gosh, I might have to do this... I need to get all my console owning friends to buy PC's....
You're meant to play the game however you want. Saying there is only one right way is incredibly douchey.
While I agree with you, I for one detest Multiplayer, and so long as they are true to their word, I have no issue with Multiplayer. But there is a reality I've come to accept as I have been on many game forums. People don't care what other people want in a game. As far as I'm concerned, you have people who come to these forums to voice what they want in a game at the expense of what others want in a game. People only care about their game experience with little regard for the experience of others. Sometimes there are people who want the same thing and thus you see a clamor for such things for multiple voices.
This sounds cool
, I liked Mass Effect 3's multiplayer, and it's optional. I'll probably play it when I finish the main story ![]()
Trust is slow to return. And this certainly doesn't help matters
Just make that your sig already, would save you from repeating it on every single post.

Do I get to transfer items from SP to MP? Or vice versa?
· In Dragon Age: Inquisition, you are in charge of the Inquisition, and in Dragon Age multiplayer, you control a few agents of the Inquisition. There is no connection between SP items and MP items on purpose. We wanted to make sure that the two economies are separate, which will allow a stronger progression in both SP and MP. If you play Dragon Age multiplayer, you will learn how each class plays a different role in combat, how different skills work, and how your party composition can give you a tactical advantage on the battlefield. This knowledge is transferable to SP, but items are not.
Ok this should be the last play I post this so fear not about more spam
So I've started a multiplayer group likes I did for ME3 for people to exchange usernames and talk about MP. It seemed to help people get started finding people to play with last time before people went off and founded there own things for more specific desires. So if you are looking forward to Dragon Age Multiplayer and want to find people to play with please consider joining the group in my sig. I'm also looking for some moderators to help keep things in order and maybe make the group a little more robust that with just me running the show, PM me if you might be interested.
Is any sort of app planned for Dragon Age multiplayer?
· BioWare understands that players can expend a lot of time going through their inventory and crafting new items. We also understand that when you are online with your friends, you want to get into action quickly. With these needs in mind, we developed the Inquisition HQ. There, you will be able to access all of your MP characters and their inventory. You will be able to change your loadout, salvage items, and craft new items. You can do all that on the go because it will run on PCs, tablets, and smartphones. We will give more details about Inquisition HQ in the following months.
There's that App we'd heard about. HNNGGG INVENTORY MANAGEMENT.

Sweet baby jesus are you serious? How can you be so salty about something that is completely optional, has free DLC and doesn't touch/hurt your SP in ANY way?
Ruining it? How? Your SP isn't harmed at all - you're still getting the entirety of the game and not having to give one iota or care towards MP since, you know, it's 100% optional.
You're losing NOTHING but ignoring MP and you're not being "hurt" in any way by it's inclusion - the fact that you seriously act like you've been emotionally harmed by them announcing MP in the game is just absurd beyond belief.
We'd be more certain of what we were getting though
Were we with DA2?
Not sure if I've glossed over something, but has there been any mention if there will be local split screen available? I'm going to assume not, it seems to be a growing rarity in games, but it sure would be nice. If there isn't, it certainly makes me think about getting 2 PS4s for the household
(What I wouldn't give for cross-console MP)
I wonder who the multiplayer characters are going to be like
Rubbish
Hm, the FAQ says 12 characters, IGN says 9.
12 is good!
Soooo, who's up for a round of DA:I MP when the game releases? :-D

Does that mean there will be characters with the same specs from the onset?

To be honest part of me hopes for the best. Since i always thought best rpg of all will be a game with Blackisle-Bioware quality single player paired with a Diablo type co-op multiplayer that supported by creators of the game. This is "THE" winning combination. However i have been disappointed by Bioware so many times i fear it may go all wrong.
