What's your incentive to play SP?
Because it'll be great?I don't see the point in this question.

It's loosely connected in that in the SP game, you send your soldiers and the like out on missions and whatnot. The MP is basically putting the players in situations like those missions.
I understand if some have reservations because of ME3 and the like, and fully expect some people will simply need to wait until release to be convinced. Which is fair.
Thank you.
Definitely going to wait and see now.
Why are people getting upset over this? MP has no impact on SP whatsoever, so just don't play it if you don't want to. Jeez... Maker forbid that BioWare implement a 100% optional feature, amirite?
If there is a incentive to play then the MP can't be ignored can it?That's the whole point.
Incentive is based on personal taste. If you have no taste for mp then you won't be lard to play and easily ignore it.
It has nothing to do with trust but with your insecurity.
It's baseless.
Doubtful, that would lead to easy griefing.
yeah I suppose you're right
Edit: and trying to eliminate that kinda of thing is more along the lines of the community I think BioWare is hoping to establish
though it is has been an important part of the hike in difficulty in most of BioWare's games.
It would certainly encourage communication
I wonder if there will be friendly fire
This is a very good question. I actually don't want FF as this will definitely lead to trolling. I play a lot of Left 4 Dead 2 and sadly, because FF is on, it is very common for people to join a game, shoot everyone, or throw a molotov cocktail on me, kill me and then quit or be vote kicked out after the damage has been done.
If there is a toggle so we can choose to enable or disable FF, at least then we can make the risk of running into trolls a choice.
Because it'll be great?I don't see the point in this question.
You keep saying you want an incentive to play MP
what you are really saying is you don't think it will be great
or to put it more clearly my incentive to play MP is that it will be great
It can be ignored, just don't play it
I plan on trying it out,I was pointing out that saying the MP can be ignored is a oxymoron since Bioware will have to get people to play it.
I wonder if there will be friendly fire
Good question. Quite important, I suspect not but you never know.
Because it'll be great?I don't see the point in this question.
That's the same incentive for most people interested in MP.
Your post about BW needing to give players an extra incentive to try the MP was just as pointless as that question.
So I guess they don't have a solo mode either, at least
And so what?
Both solo and MP are built around a group.
Stop grasping at straws to be upset.

Now you are putting words in my mouth,I've stated multiple times that I will give the MP a chance.I'm reserving judgement for now.
I plan on trying it out,I was pointing out that saying the MP can be ignored is a oxymoron since Bioware will have to get people to play it.
The method is simple, they make it, put it in a game, and sell the game(named Dragon Age Inquisition).
People will then proceed to buy the game, install it, open up the start menu, and see that it has multiplayer. Some people will play the multiplayer. Mission accomplished.
It's not. Some of us will give them another chance, some will wait and see. I can't blame anyone for being skeptical.
What does mp have to do with making anyone skeptical, it has no integration with sp. I would understand this 6 month back when we barely had any info on dai. Why does mp make the difference with a 200+hour sp game?

It is not a oxymoron.
Stop using words you don't understand.

Pre-release information and forums is only useful if you trust the source of the intel. If a person is so skeptical of Bioware at this point that the devs saying (multiple times) that MP and SP do not touch, is not to be believed then I suggest that person listens to the following advice:
wait until release to be convinced
Because there's no point in trying to talk to a person or have a discussion with a person if they are going to reject the sole source of information
That's the same incentive for most people interested in MP.

Fine then,I apologize.

Yea, they will but it's not like they're holding a gun to your head to play it

Umm the entire argument is based on them being skeptical ![]()

True enough.

...What?
Because there's no point in trying to talk to a person or have a discussion with a person if they are going to reject the sole source of information
Hey I'm curious to see how many talking points from ME3 get recycled.
...What?
Same stuff was said back then too
