Casey Hudson also said that the ME3 multiplayer wouldnt lock out anything in single player.
It locked out an ENDING.
True, unless they ultimately add all race/class/gender combos throughout its time via DLC. How many combinations would that ultimately be?

And I'm sure we'll eventually get Venatori converts, Awakened darkspawn, good spirits like Justice, etc.

Personal Prestige accomplishments include killing 25 of a certain enemy, and smaller tasks like that, which unlock new character icons, banners, and other cosmetics.
But if any of the stuff it unlocks is in the main game then I would at least try

So happy for everyone that wanted multiplayer! It looks like a lot fun.
It does look really good and tempting for even me to try except I am totally inept at combat and won't subject other players my lack of skillz. (both socially and gameplaywise!)
Give it a go. I am sure some people on the forum will be willing to help you start out. And if you enjoy it, and play it a lot, you will get better. Then it will be you helping out others.

I wouldn't count on that. That sounds like the banner stuff from ME3 so you can have a pretty picture by your name and stuff.

Does that mean Armor is just stat buffs/doesn't exist in the MP?
I suspect that's what the EA Early Access on XBox One will be.

My instant reaction was still one of dread... Yet I liked ME3MP. So, yeah. Shut up self, you inconsistent fool.
I guess it's because I have so few gamer friends, and none of those play DA *plays tiny violin of sadness*
But heyho. I'm too cheap to buy PS+ anyway. So until I do there will be no MP for me 
..Maybe by 2015 when I'm done with my first two playthroughs. Thank the Maker it's co-op so by that time I won't be tossed into a game and bullied into endless deaths by the frequent players.
To clarify, playing MP vs. not playing MP will have no impact on your SP experience.
If Bioware repeated the mistake of ME3 MP/SP I think I'd pretty much eat my PC out of shock. I can't see them ever replicating that mistake. Seriously >.>

I think it's cool that they'll be launching with the innovations that they made during the course of ME3's MP lifespan. Personal challenges, banners and whatnot. Makes me think that they'll continue to make strides with this game which will in turn feed into ME4's likely MP mode.

There is also 3 specializations per class, assuming those are pre-chosen for us which should put the grand total at 66.
For comparison, by my count Mass Effect 3 ended on 65 total characters(counting the base humans as two different characters for each gender).

They referenced crafting new armour, so maybe just alternate appearances for the preset characters.
I'm sure armour stats will still be important.

Yeah, that's the bonus perk of them using "premade" characters/personalities - they can do some crazy unique stuff that way. Always felt like the last DLC with the Collector Adept was an example of that.

What do you mean? For those who want to avoid spoilers, don't read those threads. And in places where spoilers aren't allowed, just don't post there if you know them. If people break the former, it is on them. If people break the latter, posts can be deleted.
Really enjoyed ME3 Multiplayer so I'm looking forward to seeing how DAI Multiplayer turns out.
So Bioware, how about some multiplayer reveals? Can you give us more detail on one or more of the different characters we can play?
