I think Diablo 3: UEE and Destiny will still be my go to games for MP though.

How could you use radial in MP? It requires a pause. Logical reason to remove it is to unify SP and MP control schemes. We still haven't seen the PC UI.
Why unify control schemes I would like the best control scheme for the SP game and the best control scheme for the MP game, but now the SP control has been changed and has less choice for when you are playing all because they wanted the MP and SP to be the same, how is MP not effecting SP game when this happens.

Because developping two different control schemes is actually diverting ressources from something else

now Dragon Age by introducing Multiplayer feels like a betrayal.

This is petulant, entitled and unreasonable.
You do not get the chance to dictate game content - they don't allow discounts for not buying the romances, or for only buying one class, or cutting out half the levels if you pay $40.
Grow up and buy the full game, or don't buy it at all.
not to mention that its not how game pricing works (says the guy that used to work at a game store)
where i worked most AAA games (not counting Starcraft 2 and 3-4 more exeptions) had a set price of 59,95 for PC and 117,95 for consoles(that was in the last gen days) regardles of the content they had

So your options seem to be:
1) Develop a single control scheme/gameplay system that works for both SP and MP (which is what happened)
2) Develop two different control schemes and/or gameplay systems that are optimal for both SP and MP respectively (too many resources required, as you said)
3) Develop an optimal SP control scheme/gameplay system and have no MP as a consequence of this
uh....I'll take option #3 please.

That would mean EA won't get a steady income through microtransactions. Wich is the whole point of MP being added.

Are there no sustainable abilities? And why do you think it is down to multiplayer? Bare in mind there are quite a few sustainable abilities in ME3 multiplayer.
Look at the effect on Dorian that vanishes at the end of the fight with Alexius.
I'm pretty sure that's a sustainable.

I would have preferred if the multiplayer team had worked on singleplayer content, but knowing EA and the demands put on Bioware, I'm quite happy with a cooperative multiplayer mode that doesn't affect the single-player campaign.

Why do people think that if there was no MP the people on it would have worked on the SP?
EDIT: to clarify, from what i've seen most of the people that worked on MP either transferred from the Montreal ME3MP team or were hired specifically to make it, now if there was no MP the people wouldnt be there either, and neither would their budget

Could be very interesting for an old loot&theory crafting fanatic like me. Sadly you can't create your own MP hero and have to go with premade faces. I also hate the lack of DW warriors. Wielding two swords or axes is just waaaaaay cooler than using two daggers on the rogue.
DW warrior was by far my most favourite spec in DA:O.
@fchopin: Dragon Age MultiPlayer would be my guess.

I have to wonder if they were anticipating this polarizing reaction. I think they waited as long as they could to try and build goodwill and hype. The rage at MP in this thread has probably put a big damper on the positive hype. This is the kind of thread where I'm glad I'm not a dev.
The "rage" is literally four people, posting again and again and again and again.
There are a hundred that were happy about the news.

Dragon Age Multi Player
As long as the faq tells the truth and the MP has no influence whatsoever on the SP experience I am willing to be indifferent on my behalf and happy for those who like MP.

No harm done if it doesn't affect the single-player bit, though. I might even try it out if it ends up being like an extra game.

Since I hadn't have the time to go through all of this thread: Do we have any info on how the 4-player party is set up, balancing-wise? So, could it be a 4-warrior party or is there a system like in a mmo where some roles have to be picked?

You don't have to balance it, you can play with fewer than four people and double up classes.
But some loot is hidden behind areas that only some classes can access, which encourages a diverse party.

Since healing has been nerfed and i am yet to see proper tanking in DA im not sure the classic MMO roles apply here

random thought: since consoles will only have 8 quick slots for abilities does that mean characters will have only 8 abilities or will there be a larger pool from which to choose 8
This is all speculaton, but...
Well, the only skill tree we have seen so far had 10 passives, 2 actives and 2 upgrades. He had at least 3 skill trees from what we have seen, and I dont think there are many more... I dont think any MP character will be able to have more than 8 abilities. In fact I dont even know if they would reach 8.
The max is 20 levels, so 20 skills. Since the skill tree had those 2 abilities far down, I guess we will start with some abilities and then depending on which path we take, we can choose between 6 actives total (2 per tree)... So yeah, I think the max will be 8 skills, which seem A LOT for a MP game. (The idea is to complement each other)
So one can use real money to buy top equipment in MP, it seems. BioWarez?
The way they have described it is the same as ME3's MP. You cannot buy an item, you can just buy a chest.
Chests are given by playing or paying (bought with both currencies), and they give you random loot. It can be a RNG nightmare. But at least is not like someone paid 10 bucks to get the imba weapon. They just paid 10 bucks to skip some hours of play.
Since this game is cooperative, I dont mind if someone had more luck than I did and got something sooner. In fact, once you have unlocked everything, it kind of kills the need to play more, since by then you will surely be tired of playing it. I played a lot of ME3 and I remember I did not pay for anything ever. And I had a lot of fun.
