It's loosely connected in that in the SP game, you send your soldiers and the like out on missions and whatnot. The MP is basically putting the players in situations like those missions.
I understand if some have reservations because of ME3 and the like, and fully expect some people will simply need to wait until release to be convinced. Which is fair.
So it's exactly what I suggested a long time ago when DAI MP first got discussed lol 
Can't wait to see more coverage. So much was right in ME MP, this has to be at least decent. Put me down as a supporter.

You do guys realize this is a dungeon Crawler as opposed to the wave fighting from ME3? Those are pretty different things.
Also it would be really cool if we could unlock MP characters during single player, like say that Sky Warrior.

Well, mages will presumably be split among qun/elf/human. I could see rogue being elf, dwarf, human. And warrior be dwarf, human, Qunari.

4 dwarves, 6 humans, 6 elves, 6 qunari.
And I'm sure we'll eventually get Venatori converts, Awakened darkspawn, good spirits like Justice, etc.

True, but as I said posts can be deleted. And with EA Access only 5 days before regular launch, the people with connections will be getting the full game anyway.

You don't play a specific class like 'warrior,' you play a specialization like 'reaver.'

Honestly the IGN article/video is terrible at explaining it. So need more info.
I was pleasantly surprised at how good ME3 MP was, so im interested, and it doesnt affect the single player which is good.

I am pleased from the sounds of it, its done ME 3 style/Diablo style mixed without an impact on the main story that is good.
We get to know what those missions we send our soliders on are really like so we can feel like the little guys when we need a break from the story this is good.
And thanks bioware for not having it impact the story many thought it would, I know yuou guys listen to feedback so know it would be more stand alonish.

While I understand how ME3 Multiplayer initially rolled out is a legitimate reason for reservations, can we please leave off rehashing the whole ME3 drama?
In the case that it was truly a bug and not intended, the fact remains that they did fix it. As for DAI, they have confirmed no impact from several people not just one, that SP and MP do not directly impact each other. As a Single Player, that is good enough for me. And the footage they have shown of the single player campaign leaves me little doubt at how great it is looking. If it is not for you, then by all means wait until you see for yourself and decide accordingly. That is perfectly reasonable.
I had fun with ME3 MP and it looks like I'll have fun with this. Can't wait.
I'm very happy it's Co-op rather than PvP
