They said there aren't sync kills in DAI in the combat Q&A, though maybe they were referring to Sp and not MP.The more I think on this , the more I hope they do enough to distinguish themselves from ME3MP. I mean are the enemy types going to match ME3MP exactly? Grunt units, Lieutenant Units, Guys with Shield that blocks everything, Sync Kill units ( hopefully not ). Sync kills would be a terrible thing to add to a game were most of the units are melee based.

An elite marine can miss shots though.I was.
Why weren't you?
I didn't see why Shepard, an elite marine, should miss a shot just because I didn't aim well.

Its not for no reason they got voted worst company in the US 2 years in a row. Got second place last year, I belive.
The company that makes The Witcher games seems rather "perfect" so far, though. Not about milking money out of their customers at all.
Which is ridiculous. Hundreds of companies exploit people like slaves all over the world, but EA is the Worst One Ever because people on the internet don't agree with the video games they publish? Seriously now. This is taking First World Problem to a disturbing extreme.

No, if you read the articles and actual journalism about it then you'll see EA was the worst because their customer service was crap, their customer loyalty was non-existent and even they have a fairly awful rating from people who actually work there. Please do a small amount of googling before saying something nonsensical.

Meh, no thanks. Think i'll stick to single player. Coop multiplayer I find boring as hell.
I'll be playing CSGO.

Interesting, it seems ME3 launched with 18 character kits and had a few more within a pretty short time period.
Maybe DAMP's are relatively more expensive, or more unique? Or just harder to do?
The DAMP characters seem to have more abilities and class specific weapons
so they may take more time

And ME modeled that well, with the miss chance decreasing as she improved her abilities. An elite marine can miss shots though.
ME2 decided to go all abstract on that, by having Shepard's abilties affect damage instead, which had the same basic effect of missing when taken in the aggregate. So I accepted that, and didn't make it worse by missing myself.

Well, the desire to give them each their own personality and presumably voice acting probably makes it take a bit more resources per class.
Though it also might depend on how they're treating abilities, since ultimately an MP class is just a bundle of abilities.

The poll, in addition to being self-selecting, is anonymous.
What some guy said in an article on the internet, does not equate to the opinion of the voters.
As I remember, the anti-EA threads rallying people to vote for them didn't have anything to do with what you mentioned.

You should do some research before getting on that high horse of yours.EA has a awful customer service record and even have several lawsuits related to false advertising and the like.People don't hate EA because they don't like the games they publish, they hate the company because they have godawful business ethics that would place them in serious trouble if the game industry had any sort of regulations.

They probably wouldn't have received the resources they spent on MP by EA without MP.

Aye; gaming needs a bit more time to smell the roses, and XCOM mechanics might be a decent way to start!

Or you could have limited off-class weapons to default auto-attacks, just like DAO did it (my favourite Warden was a sword & shield rogue).Armors are not restricted while weapons are because most of the abilities/feats feed into weapon types. We'd have to make the ability trees for each class overlap (which we didn't want to do) or create custom abilities for the types (i.e. bow skills for a warrior).
Why not do that? That would give us the freedom to equip any weapon without requiring any extra design work.

Separate teams; no lost resources, and perhaps increased efficiency concerning some debugging.

Because equipping a weapon that doesnt allow you to use any of your abilities is not something a ton of people do?

That is a false assumption. Bioware has stated several times that they get a budget based on deliverables. A SP campaign nets them x dollars from EA in funding, a MP add-on grants them y dollars, completely separate from the x dollars. The reasoning for this is that additional features bring in additional consumers, thus increasing the expected sales of the game. If bioware decided not to go the route of adding MP then they would have gotten only x dollars. The campaign would be the exact same as it is now, except for the improvements generated from MP encounter testing.

But it's an option that's routinely requested here, costs almost nothing, and not doing it draws attention to their gamist approach overall.Because equipping a weapon that doesnt allow you to use any of your abilities is not something a ton of people do?

this is where we differ, I felt the action of ME2 and ME3 was much better as the games were always marketed as 3rd person action rpgs, though I will say that by shooter standard ME2 and 3 still left alot to be desired, alot of enemies felt rather downgraded, or at least it felt like there was only Enemy A, Enemy B and Enemy C.

Just how long did it take for you to actually complete the game? Considering that most weapons take multiple shots to take the enemy down, pause and shoot for every shot would be a maddening test of patience, not to mention unnecessary, if you're actually good at shooters.I was.
Why weren't you?
I didn't see why Shepard, an elite marine, should miss a shot just because I didn't aim well.
On that note, if Shepard could simply land each shot because you poured points into a character stat, it would destroy the combat gameplay. Unlike Dragon Age, shooting is a far more simplistic mechanic that would become boring if it required zero skill on the part of the player. Besides, everyone misses shots. It doesn't matter if you're the ultimate badass. No one is 100% accurate.
