I thought this had already officially been christened the ****** and moan thread. The other threads have allowed for some more productive discussion.

Another question regarding MP occurred to me yesterday when I got home and watched the IGN video and read the FAQ.
1. Are the multiplayer DLCs also going to be part of the timed exclusive (haven't watched today's video yet, but THAT ICON in the bottom left corner of the screen fills me with nauseated, angry concern).
ALSO:
2. Regarding the Weekend Ops mentioned yesterday, are there going to be DLC-themed weekend ops after each DLC drops, similar to ME3?
IF YES TO BOTH:
3. Does that mean the rest of us, the non-XBers, are screwed out of those Ops?
Sounds like something Microsoft would do...don't spend money on new games, DEFINITELY not exclusives or IPs....lets just by this games content a month early..... ![]()
I hope these questions are answered....it would be really good if we had like a Q&A type thing

I see four unlocked topics on the front page about multiplayer.
Which one are we allowed to express concern in?
Any of the ones that do NOT specifically state in the very first post that the thread is for collecting info all in one place for future MP players to use to help them further their MP experience. Like a reference book rather than gossip magazines or academic forums for debate.

Except for the entire thing about how combat was developed alongside and in conjunction with MP, which should be worrying.
Not at all for me. It appears that Bioware is attempting to make the MP mechanics similar to solo mechanics in order for Players like myself to better manage characters w/o the need to learn a new form. Personally, it would be difficult to switch from one form to another (eg; Point & Click to WASD); prefer it remain instinctive based on the extant implementation.

The Xbox exclusive DLC is only the first singleplayer DLC.
Everything else seems to be on both consoles at the same time.

That wasn't a feature that needed to be fixed. I liked it. It made no-damage tanking viable.True dat, full dexterity rogues were practically untouchable, but that could've been fixed with a defense cap like the DA2 one.

Except that our concern about gameplay isn't based on whether you like it or not. Its about whether we like it. And the point and click KBM is what we want. I don't care about MP other than how MP gameplay has to be solo controller action RPG gameplay to be fun, not pause point and click KBM.

But it might mean that players who play only one of the two parts are stuck with a suboptimal control scheme. Not at all for me. Allan are you or one of the other devs at liberty to say what kind of DAMP DLC characters we will get?
I do not have any idea at this point. I don't work directly on the Multiplayer and have only spent a couple of hours in it, myself.

So you can still use up to 8 talents in multi? I thought it was said multi was restricted to 4, but I see the LT button and two layers still.

They haven't said anything. As far as I know you can play in this way in the ME3 MP, so I don't think they'd force players to play MP with controllers now.

Can you elaborate on the Game Informer articles implication that certain NPCs will only show up in camps when you play multiplayer?

It shows there, but not when mapping talents. I think it's just there but unusable.

You're asking the wrong question. Right now we don't know that point and click exists for SP.

I'm gonna start irrationally assuming that it's not in SP either if we don't see a goddamn screenshot soon.

This still needs clarification, yeah.
Also there's a special button just for health potions.
I presume DAMP won't have a Cobra missile launcher though.

It's a bit confusing. In the trailer, when the talent tree screen popped out, the LT switch button on the mapped powers isn't present.

Didn't I see a gameplay video with point and click functionality somewhere? It was illustrating the tactical camera

They haven't shown us any of the KBM UI. In Exile is right; the only control scheme we know exists in the PC version is the one that uses a controller. How so?

Probably not, the pause function for multiplayer games is usually complicated and has a possibility of spoiling the fluidity,

How so?
We've never seen any DAI UI screenshot for PC that showed us a UI that used KBM. We also have not seen any PC UI shot that look at all like DA2 at all. Even in DA2 we had PC exclusive gameplay by this point in time.
I do not think we will get DAO isometric gameplay at all. This is why Bioware talks about "tactical mode" for example without saying it's a console specific thing.
