Oh I don't know something to do with free content and the option to buy in game currency with real money that is "totally optional".........now where have I heard that same idea recently? oh yeah DAI, I mean I'm sure its just mere coincidence that EA is involved in both right ? its even mentioned in the recent Forbes article about DAMP strange how Gamespot/IGN etc haven't even mentioned this odd coincidence.

You're completely glossing over ME3 MP's system, which is what DAMP appears to be based on, and instead looking at a lawsuit regarding marketing for an app, why exactly?

You mean the same model that was used in ME3 multiplayer? That did not do anything remotely similar to Dungeon Keeper?

Oh, but right. EA is the devil, and obviously everything they're involved with is evil.

I'm done with responding to this, since you just keep repeating the same stupid argument that people have continually countered throughout this thread.

I wish this open mic stuff would die....or at least you had the OPTION to enable push to talk.  I like the people I play with, but my god I don't want to know the details of their lives or personal issues going on...bodily or relationship wise.  I don't see how this caught on in the first place, but it needs to die.  Push to talk needs to be standard or at the very least optional.

You had that option in ME3 (at least on PC anyway), I'd guess it will be in DA:I.

Why are you getting out of your way to find bad exemple of MT, where the most relevant case of MT (ME3) is a good exemple of this ?

So we're supposed to gloss over that dungeon crawling game called Dungeon Keeper that had "free content" and a "Totally Optional" in game currency that could be bought with real money that had its advertising banned in the UK by Court Order after an investigation found that said adverts claims it was F2P and that the claims of the company responsible that the premium currency was "Totally Optional" were intentionally misleading and yet here we are and that same company(EA) is making similar noises about DAMP(which is also a dungeon crawler "free content" and a "totally optional" currency system that can be bought with real money).

Strange coincidence that........... just saying

DK stop the game for good time to force people to pay. DAMP is nothing like that. It's going to be like ME3 mp. So don't start crying wolf with DAMP.

Because using ME3 as an example would invalidate his argument.

It'd be about 1,000x more relevant to use a Bioware game as a comparison to a... wait for it... Bioware game.

Everyone wants to use the example of ME3 MP affecting the SP game as reason for their trepidation for DAMP (which is at least understandable to a point)... but when ME3 MP is actually a positive example they go looking elsewhere to justify their thoughts.  Okay.  If we're going to judge DAMP off of the previous MP attempt let's do it as a whole - not pick and choose.

So its just pure coincidence that mere months ago the same company has been found to have deliberately mislead people about micro transactions in a game with "free content" based on a long standing Dungeon Crawling franchise? That their counter argument in the appeal which was immediately dismissed was " the premium currency in Dungeon Keeper is totally optional"

Here we are not long after and now that same company has a MP component in a upcoming Dungeon Crawling RPG that is said to have "free content" and a in game "totally optional" currency. But I'm sure its just a total coincidence right?

I think it would be best to disengage from arguing with people who don't seem to be open to persuasion. BSN has a handy ignore feature.

Otherwise everyone is just talking past each other and that's not actually much of a discussion :P

Agree with E.P.

Building an argument by taking unrelated facts, lacing them with paranoia and speculation, and then presenting them as illuminating truth that no-one else can see, is neither clever nor helpful.

Arguing this logically is no longer productive, there have been many attempts by many fine members of this thread to do that, all of which have been ignored.

Er, can some kind person explain how 'ignore' works, I'm a big ignorant of that one... thanks.

Whew, definitely didn't read the entire 100~ pages of posts in this thread but I didn't see any devs mention support life. I had a lot more fun playing ME3 MP then I initially expected and was sad to see new content/events die off after only a year.

Now I don't expect future DLC for years and years, but something like a rotating or randomly generating weekend mission would be cool if DAMP opts to go that same route.

Its not "picking and choosing" when the company that owns Bioware made the exact same claims about Dungeon Keeper's premium currency being "totally optional" strange how when the advert was banned and they attempted to appeal the decision with the argument that "its not P2W because the premium currency is totally optional" said appeal was immediately thrown out.

It sounds as if your attempting to dismiss this by "picking and choosing" because is extremely damming........

I know I said I'd stop responding to you, but I have one more thing here...

Have you even ever played a Dungeon Keeper game? It's neither a dungeon crawler, nor an RPG. It's nothing like Dragon Age at all. It's a strategy/management game...

There's a "Manage Ignore Prefs" button in the menu under your name at the top of the page.

They've said that DAMP will be supported with new stuff longer than ME3 MP was, and that they'll have the mission type stuff again.

I think this is a wonderful commitment.

The ME3MP dev support over its year was wonderful.

That the ME3MP is still vibrant (I was in there a few days ago) a further year and a half later also says something.

One more reply to you, and this will be the last one until you come up with original material that's related to the studio developing the game, rather than a mobile game you've clearly not played, or GTA: Why do you care if mp players get fleeced, since you made it abundantly and repeatedly clear that you won't be playing it?

1. My crayons are orange

2. A leopard changes its sports....when you skin it

3. Why does there always have to be a 3?
