You should be able to play YOUR character in the co-op imo. 

 

You shouldn't need to make heroes for the multiplayer because everyone already has their Inquisitior. I would like to play with other peoples' Inquisitors too.

 

Like Diablo 3 and Fable co-op, you always run on your hero with other people. 

 

Maybe have some randomised heroes for people who have yet to complete the game, or have a level sync on the multiplayer so lowbies can run their low Inquisitors with people who are higher.

 

I will only really be into this if I can play it with my personal Inquisitor. Playing with a hero who is not my own is not very fun. It's like playing on the PTR servers, you're given a hero and gear and you play through. It's not your character.

You play on your single player Hero and your inventory is linked. Like with Diablo 3.

Bioware has indeed said the exact opposite of this. MP and SP are two completely different things. Not linked at all. The only link between the two is that your inquisitor is the leader of the inquisition. And the MP classes/characters are generic soldiers in the inquisition.
