I have recently installed  the game on a 64 bit system and it keeps randomely freezing on me.  The specifics of this 64 bit computer is comparable as a 32 bit system that runs the game just fine on High detail level.  Are there issues with a 64 bit system.  If there isany to fix this please let me know.

There are some freezing issues going on with the game I believe, but I haven't really experienced them. I'm currently running 64 bit vista and works ok for me.

You may want to provide more info. Most common cause (in my experience with DA and ME): graphics card and/or it's driver.

My card is a GeForce GT220 and when I installed the card I downloaded the newest drivers from the nvida website

I think it is my card, going to swap the card from another system to test it. Thank you everyone for all your help.

Windows 7 Pro x64 here. Radeon 4850 Vid card. I was having an issue with the game going "black" on me and in order to get the game to run at all I have to manually kill all extra processes including ATI, MOM, CCC as well as AVG processes. Game will then run fine for as long as I require.

Exiting the game is another issue. I can exit with no issue to the load menu but when terminating the game completely both of my monitors go black but I can still hear the DA:O music in the background. Anyone else getting this?

After 3 weeks of waiting, I finally got a response from EA indicating in no uncertain terms, the game was never tested on a 64 bit OS.

That said, I was able to resolve my video issue by disabling my secondary monitor.

I run Dragon Age fine on my Vista Ultimate 64 machine with 8GB's of ram, Core i5 750 cpu, two Radeon 3870's, and my soundcard happens to be the HT Omega Claro, which uses the CMEDIA 8788HD chip.
