Well no I don't think people who eat meat are evil, and certainly not animals who can only survive on meat, but I do see vegetarians as "good" in that they're compassionate enough to place the lives of animals above their enjoyment.

Well, all the power to you if you want to eat differently from others for whatever reasons.

But applying a meaning of morality is just plain silly in my opinion. There's "good" people who eat lots of meat, organic or no, and there's lots of "bad" people who are vegetarians or vegans. History is rife in prolific examples regarding that point and I don't intend to go into detail, lest I be invoking Godwin's law.

No, eating meat benefits nobody but your tastebuds. It's bad for your health(debatable), bad for the environment, bad for food supplies and very bad for the animals' welfare. Hence the only thing you could say about meat that is "good" is that it tastes good.

Didn't read all 5 pages so this might have been said already but there are 2 types of workouts, anaerobic (lifting weights, strength training) and aerobic (running, cycling, swimming) if your goal is to burn fat focus on aerobic.  Make a goal, say 5 miles every other day and jog/brisk walk that.  At 250lbs you wont be able to jog the whole way at first, that is ok, just cover the distance, no matter how long it takes.

Also drink apple juice for electrolytes, gatorade is good too but the goal being to lose weight means apple juice is the better option. Your goal will be to do that every other day and it doesn't matter if it takes you 2 hours to do at first or longer. Time yourself and make sure you do better on your time each run but the distance is way more important than a good time. That much will always be true.  Before you know it you will be dropping a few pounds each week.

Also your goal is to look better I assume given what you've posted so don't go for 10 or 20 reps of lifting weights, you want low weight, high reps. I do enough weight to do 100 reps, for 10 sets of 10 reps each and I like my results.  Do that on the days you don't jog.

Medium reps is what causes hypertrophy so high weight low reps are good too, really low reps like 5 to 8. Hammer out those heavy squats and look like Nicki Minaj. Saves time spent in the gym too. You won't turn into arnold don't worry our hormones don't allow it.

"All normal people love meat. If I went to a barbeque and there was no meat, I would say 'Yo Goober! Where's the meat?'. I'm trying to impress people here, Lisa. You don't win friends with salad."

You completely missed my point. I'm deliberately trying not to attribute morality (i.e.: the concepts of good and bad/evil).

Also, you were talking about people (!!!) being "good" or "bad" depending whether they eat meat or not, which has only tangible relation to whether eating meat is unhealthy, etc. pp.! You literally changed your argumentation to adress an asnwer I made for another point.

But whatever, I'm not going to argue with someone who just turns their whole argumentation inside out just to keep talking about how eating meat is "bad". Paint me a villain as much as you want.

That was what was I talking about the whole time.

I dunno why you're doing that to yourself, I'm not painting anyone as a villain, I'm still eating meat at the moment.

Scientists have been doing studies regarding plant life and flora's abilities to sense, react, and "feel" in a way. Not quite like ours, but y'know. Stimuli and all that.

If I were under the impression that plant life could actually feel something negative in response to human actions, goodness. We rip plants out of the ground, we trim/cut down trees, and oh God mowing the lawn would be the vilest thing in the world. It'd be worse than what happens to some animals. Then again some plants have defenses against insects eating their fruits/nuts/leaves, then there's Venus Flytraps and the like, etc etc.

...I'll be indiscriminate with my diet then. Omnivore all day, I'm not up for nutrient paste.  ^_^

As for metabolism, loads affect it. Age, activity, diet, etc etc. Visit a nutritionist, a physical trainer, etc etc. They'll help out.

Meat, especially fish and chicken is very healthy in a balanced diet and almost required for professional athletes and bodybuilders.

I don't ever eat pork though, because pork is relatively unhealthy.
