Uldred was a first rate idiot. He tried to summon the damn thing in the middle of a battle, so of course the idiot would get himself possessed.

Just pointing that even a senior enchanter, apparently needs to lay groundwork to successfully control a summoned demon.

True, and not just that, but an upper level pride demon to boot.

Honestly i think the term "mundane" is sort of an oxymoron, i mean is it "normal" to not be a demon beacon or something to that extent.

its lore friendly. And but if you prefer i could use "none mage" personally i find mundane to also be a derogitive term

Would you prefer 'normals,' which is lore friendly to bigots against mages who must be abnormal. Perhaps 'average person born without the ability to tap into their connection to the fade'?

Or simply non-mages. Or warrior? Or rogue? Or merchant?

No i am simply pointing out that it has only ever been used in that fashion by folks who honestly think Mages are superior to folks who cannot combust into flames randomly, Usually from Tevinter but not always.

No more superior than the archer that can shoot him between the eyes from a hundred paces.  :P

So take any mage vs Robin Hood, and Robin could pretty much snipe them down without much fuss. Heck, Zevran easily overcame a mage and her guards on his second assassination mission.

I don't think mages are as powerful or as superior as you believe and fear them to be.

And an untrained mage is just as dangerous to himself. Hierarchy of the Circle codex is written by a Knight-Commander, and he talks about how most of the accidents are apprentices trying to do things they are not prepared for since they can't control their power. And we see from the mage origin that a mage's power reacts to their emotions, so they have to have a solid grasp of their emotions to use their powers effectively.

Without training, just like regular soldiers with a double-sided sword, they are as in much danger as those they face.

I think you mean "deity's" as the apostrophe would make it a possessor. Your use is the plural form.

Z loves to roleplay as Pain, who technically has six avatars, all controlled by a seventh body.

Its far-fetched. Then again if you side with mages, mages who turn to blood magic are simply dying in hands of Templars so the are like why not, I'm dying anyway. As I said knowing how to do something does not make you a criminal, doing it does. Also you should consider the facts, that cutscene where mages are dying, killed by Templars serves a purpose. No mage uses blood magic and they rather die first. You are stretching. What if I told you exactly eight people died in the chantry and no more because the cutscene shows exactly eight people inside. The grand cleric and seven Templars guarding her. You have NO WAY of proving me wrong, but I don't.

I'm not sure how some mages using blood magic defensively even changes that an entire population of men, women, and children are facing execution because Meredith wants to appease a hypothetical mob; no argument is given by the Knight-Commander that the Circle of Kirkwall is irrevocably corrupt, and the story never provides any insight into the personalities and behavior of most of the inhabitants of the Circle. The story and the developers provide no evidence that the Circle of Kirkwall deserved to be annulled by the Right of Annulment.

The enemies we fight in the way to the gallows are not random but their numbers are in fact irrelevant to the story. I did say Hawke probably fought a few. And I just played the game recently. There are only abomination at the first part. Then when you move to the docks there is a blood mage praying in front of statute of victory against qunari then more demons and abominations. She is the ONLY npc that has the simple name "blood mage" when you hightlight objects and people (Tab button in PC)

We don't even have any numbers to make any determination about the whole Circle of Kirkwall. Of course, it had nothing to do with them, since the Circle was condemned to death for the actions of a man who was never part of their Circle. As Meredith initially argues, "It doesn't matter. Even if I wished to, I could not stay my hand. The people will demand blood." In Meredith's own words when she explains her reason behind the Right of Annulment at the Gallows, "The grand cleric is dead, killed by a mage. The people will demand retribution, and I will give it to them."
