I dislike FBGiant simply due to over use by the pug community.

For Giant, that hack is pretty bad. Probably the worst objective on that map, apart from a select few device locations.

 

Compared to other maps? Not even close. There are tons of others that are harder than that, too numerous to list.

 

Edit: If the game really has been going that well, then surely you have some missiles left? Just nuke stuff when it gets inside the hack.

 

This exactly.  Giant is such a ridiculously user-friendly map that any objective with any difficulty at all seems hard.  In reality, that hack isn't that hard even if you're soloing.

Things getting in the hack is only half the problem, distance enemies like psions, ravagers and praetorians are.  The bad part of that hack is that enemies spean almost instantly within ranged attack range.  I do agree though that there are worse ones for sure

It's actually easier when solo'ing because you can kite the enemies away, then go back and hack in peace for a while.

Don't forget the Primes. They spawn and one second later you're being staggered to death.

No, I refuse to admit there are worse objectives. I demand that you all treat my angry post about a botched game as irrefutable proof that the Giant Hack is the worst... thing... evar.

I wouldn't put it in the worst five hacks. Devices (hydra crate of destiny, London device by the mako, two center devices on Jade.) and escorts (especially ghost hazard) blow it out of the water if we're considering all the objectives.

Yes, they are all much worse. I would even put the dagger escort through the courtyard as a more PITA objective. Cerberus gold wave 6 is an absolute hell for that escort - turrets+goons+phantoms.

Cerberus escorts on Engineer waves are total BS, practically regardless of map.

I'm afraid you're on your own.  Jade, London, Goddess, Hydra, White and even Glacier have tougher hacks IMHO

I agree with them. It's not the easiest hack, but it's far from being the worst.

Sometimes, "frequent" looks like "always". I was gonna try for a last couple of games this evening but the last FIVE lobbies I found were all preset to Giant. So Phuket.

All of these pale in comparison to the center Jade device. No cover, no hiding, just straight up annihilation from 9/10ths of the map.

 

Agreed, although the Jade extraction hack also gets ugly really fast. Hydra extraction hack is also terribad.

All of my this^. Was playing with a great squaddie, Abaddon, I think is his name, and a couple of pugs who just kept dying every wave. And we got that. Collectors. Possessed everything swarming the hack. The two pugs go down immediately. We tried to hold it by running in and out of it, kiting some of the mooks. I was out of missiles because wave 8 praetorians + PS3 = lolnope.

It weren't pretty. And that was just Gold.

London's center hack gives me far more problems. Giants a pain but on London...ugh, I don't even like thinking about it.
