I actually like the arguments between characters. A conflicting team is always much more interesting than one that always gets along. I usually always brought Anders with me when I had Fenris...sometimes I even took Merrill into the whole mess too. Just like in Origins I almost always had Alistair and Morrigan in my group. I can't wait for the new conflicts in the game. Especially is the Cole issue is really that bad for Sera and Vivienne.

Lukas on the Sera thread, during a discussion on Sera and Cole:

Did aaron beck say anything about sharks and what to do if there's a shark in your house and it's wearing a mask and saying "hi" but all you can think about is the teeth--so many teeth--because sharks are real, and everyone knows they only do one thing, mean it or not, and maybe it's not a shark but it's sure seems like it has fins and is that a mask or not what if it takes it off and then just teeth I can't stop thinking about teeth IT DOESN'T MOVE RIGHT!

"War, demons, a torn sky: these are more than troubling—they're terrifying."

The whole "it" thing might be motivated more by teeth-gnashing fear than disdain.

The whole Alistair and Morrigan thing was funny. Anders and Fenris was just wtf most of the times. Anders and Velanna was also wtf.

Though now that you said that, that made me think. A hedge mage and a baby templar vs circle mage and a former mage's slave. I couldn't stand to hear Anders and Fenris arguing and yet was fine with Morrigan and Alistair and had them at the party all the time. Weird.

Well, I guess if you like a character you'll be ok with his nagging, but if you don't - you'll be irritated with him breathing the same air, basically. And nagging will be just another thorn in your side.

The other thing is that while Morrigan and Alistair didn't like one another, their banter often took on a humorous tone.  One would make a joke at the other's expense or try to outsmart the other... it was fun in a way.  When Fenris and Anders argued or insulted one another, it was never funny or clever, just hostile.  These two seemed to genuinely hate each other, and having them both in the party never gave the player a break from the game's "mage vs. templar" theme.  So while disagreements or rivalries between party members can be interesting, it really depends on the tone, for me at least.

I can see Varric and Cassandra arguing quite a bit, but never "serious" enough to the point of hostility (eg. Anders and Fenris, whose banter are very cold and harsh, with absolutely no signs of hilarity from either theirs or the player's POV, as mentioned by Icy Magebane).

Sera and Cassandra...I expect massive trollage from the former, which the latter may or may not counter with dry wit. Can see a gradual friendship forming...maybe.

The vibe from Iron Bull vs. Varric seems to be pretty serious and grave. Remains to be seen whether they can put it behind them.

My current impression of Blackwall is that he is be very hard to read, with a degree of ambiguity in his opinions towards the others. As in, he may adopt a neutrally polite tone regardless of whether he likes the person or not. Then again, this may be because we simply don't know much about him at all.

I can see Vivienne being extremely rigid with her opinions, so I don't expect her to gradually dislike people she had a good initial opinion of (eg. Iron Bull, Cass), or mellow down towards people that she initially dislikes (eg. Cole). If I remember correctly, she bickers with Dorian alot, but mostly in good nature.

We've heard snippets of how some people get along. Viv gets along with Cassandra and Iron Bull, Sera dislikes Cole but seems to have fun with iron bull, Solas likes Cole and has insightful discussions with Casandra..and I think they've dropped more I don't remember offhand.

I remember reading somewhere that Varric and Sera have some conflict, but I forget where, and I forget whether it's both or mostly one of them.  The reason I remember it is because I was hoping for some funny rogue banter and it looks like it might not be happening in this bunch.  I hope I'm wrong because I'm really looking forward to travelling around with both of them and don't want to have to make that kind of tough choice.

I also remember the same source saying that Cullen and Cassandra have different approaches to situations and rub each other the wrong way at times, which is very interesting, because that would mean that the advisers and companions have interaction with each other as well.

If Cole doesn't hate me to some extent through my play through of Inquisition, I will be floored.
