On which do you like to go with no Fitness, at all? And why do you go with zero Fitness on those specific kits?

For instance, I like to go without Fitness on the MQI when I'm using a sniper rifle. His powers just beg to be maxed out that way.

I'm curious to what you guys have to say.

I think it mostly come down to the fact that, on Gold or Platinum, a Human or Asari, for example, is going to get 'gated anyway and maxing all powers plus passives allows you to kill much quicker and therefore increases you survivability better than an extra 300 shields.

This.

ATM I run the Phoenix adept and the turian jet pack soldier no fitness.

I think speccing fully into Fitness just has a psychological effect on Platinum. I used to go for 100% Survivability, but I recently found I can survive just as well with less Fitness.

-Usually engineers and infiltrators.

-Stuff that has no DR ability like Barrier.

-Non-melee infiltrators

-Things that dodge.

-Stuff with low shields

-Kits that don't offer funny melee attacks or other nice perks in the fitness tree (like Drell speed)

-did I mention Infiltrators?

Question is: are you still using crutchonics IV while going no-fitness?

Collector Adept because the DR from swarms and the decent starting health/shields means that you dont really need to spec into fitness.

*Blasphemy*

General Raam disagrees with you.

I take full fitness on the Collector so I can do this:

And avoid this:

As for the question at hand. I skip fitness under two conditions: 1)The kit punches like a pyjak with no arms, 2)All the powers are good.

I go no fitness on all kits except on kits I want to do pure melee with. Just love power too much and usually live on shield and healthgate anyway.

Awakened collector is the only one I run without fitness. I like all 3 powers of his and his passives provide excellent power damage boost.

my volus are without fitness too, but I ignore their existence anyway. I don't like no-fitness builds in general.

TGI and AIU, no need for fitness in plat games due to cheese abilities (stim packs and repair matrix)

Depends on the character. On the TGI or AIU I won't use a Cyclonic IV, because that be a waste. On the FQE, for instance, I would probably use a Cyclonic IV.

I like to go with no fitness on TGI and AIU because they don't really need it, as long as I don't use a melee build.

I am also not using fitness on GE and Demolisher, because maxing out the other abilities is more important here in my opinion.

Salarian Engineer ... got Energy Drain, don't need fitness.

In most cases though I tend to take fitness to 3 and drop the last point from the passive on squishy kits; an extra 10% weapon damage or weapon weight reduction is generally neither here nor there on power-based classes for me (lighter SMGs on the QFE? big whoop).

I think to a large extent it depends on what you're used to. When I started multiplayer, someone recommended I train myself to play certain characters with 0 Fitness, so I do a lot of dodging, RHA, and mentally counting seconds to shieldgate restore.

If you learned to play multiplayer with tanky characters with 6 ranks in Fitness, you'd have a different way of playing the game.

Hosting can factor into that, too.  On host, dodging is quite easier, so lower health/barriers aren't such an issue, and frequently adrenaline is at least as useful as a cyclonic.

Off-host...well, you're screwed.  Well, not quite, but having a bit of extra health is handy, and cyclonics are definitely more useful than adrenaline

None. No fitness builds are for elitist douchebags.

A character with 500 base shields paired with cyclonics 4 and stronghold gear gets 1350 shields with no fitness.

But I cheat for that matter so 825 is enough for me.

Any kit that can use stem packs, repair matrix, bloodlust, shield boost, energy drain, has super high DR or turrets spec'd for healing don't need fitness maxed,if any at all.But I find myself doing 66644 builds on most characters comfortably.

I used to go no fitness on a lot of stuff, then I realised how useless rank 6 passives are.

If all 3 powers are worth maxing out, and the rank 6 passive is just the standard damage bonus, may as well just go 66653.

I don't have 0 fitness on hardly any characters because they aren't all that great for soloing at standard difficulty, and they aren't great for playing off host.

But mainly because there are hardly any characters in the game where you need to max out 3 powers as well as the racial passive.
