Forgive me if this has already been mentioned.  I just finished Broken Circle and while fighting Uldred, found my warden trapped in a crushing prison while Uldred started to turn the mages.  I switched the Litany to Wynne's quickbar and had her use it, which worked fine.  As he frequently does, Uldred started his turning thing again while Wynne was still in cooldown on the Litany.  I switched it back to the warden, who had recovered by then, and she was able to use it immediately.  I don't know whether this is unique to the PC or can be done on console as well (playing on hard difficulty if it makes a difference), but I thought others might like to know.

I actually like to Force Field the CP effect for the spell combo, though I recommend standing away at the time. Some Dispel effects might also be useful; uncertain.

I have not tried switching the tome around in the party, but have mixed it with Mana Clash occasionally, esp when lesser Demons are in the fray. Thanks for the tip!

Everyone in the party (at least in my game, on PC) can put the Litany in their quickbar, which makes it usable for the entire party.
It works like a healing poultice in that respect - while the ability is in cooldown for one character, it's available for others.
