Reaver!

Oh, wrong game series.
Reaver!
The Reaver is a highly aggressive class and healing seems limited in DAMP. Will the Reaver have a self heal? Is the Reaver reliant on other classes to stay alive while they do lots of damage?
Does the Reaver have a skill to pull aggro? Do they have the 'Get over here!' chain that the Inquisitor warrior has?
(This is the first post in this forum, and it is about the REAVER.)

If so, yeah, they'd become a must have. It's possible that specific classes require specific loadouts to shine.
As I understand it, Reaver is a rare class you have to unlock, so hopefully, you'll have the necessary equipment before getting her.

We haven't announced all the classes yet. But all of the classes can handle healing on their own pretty well.
Guess classes have atleast 1 passive/active spell.

Who needs a chain when the Reaver has that oh so sweet claw attack???
I usually play as mages....but who can resist the power of draconic blood rituals and becoming an avatar of death/???
So awesome.

I can't wait to try out this class in MP. Two Handed Warriors in DAO and DA2 were my go to class. Very much looking forward to this in MP.
I really want to know about how the class can specialize and what its powers are going to be for MP. It was a very fun class to play when you can control your party make up, make sure you get the proper support and what not. However, in MP, you are many ways on your own in some of these regards.

I cant wait to slaughter our enemies.
Id say imagine a group of four reavers running around in MP....might miss out on chests due to not having a rogue or mage but think of....the MAYHEM !!!

It's also possible the Reaver may be the new Human Adepts pre-buffed. ![]()

The game launches with 12 characters. That means with the 3 existing classes(Rogue, Mage, and Warrior) we will most likely get 4 subclasses that all fit under the archetype of the main class.
The characters that you can see by pausing the MP release are interesting to say the least.
Mage: Keeper, Elementalist, and Necromancer
Rogue: Archer, Alchemist, and Assassin
Warrior: Katari, Legionnaire, Templar, and Reaver
Edited with some new information.

Mage: Keeper, Elementalist, Alchemist, and Necromancer
Rogue: Archer and Assassin
Warrior: Katari and Reaver
So that leaves the last two Rogue and Warrior subclasses.
Alchemist is a rogue type, not a mage. They're female dwarf rogues. Note the dual wield daggers icon in the lower right corner. I suspect they can throw bombs.

You're also missing the Legionnaire (male dwarf warrior), and the Templar (which rounds the warrior types out):

We're still missing the last rogue class I think, but I'm pretty sure the last mage class is Knight Enchanter.
Given that the warriors are split up two sword+shield (Templar and Legionnaire) and two 2-handers (Reaver, Katari), and that we've seen two dual wield rogues (Alchemist, Assassin), it stands to reason the last rogue is going to be a second archer type.

No, their marketing team just doesn't know anything about the setting. When they released the worldmap a while back they had misspelled "Korcari" and put Haven in the wrong place.
So... Reavers: good class, or best class? I'm personally leaning towards best but it wouldn't surprise me if it turned out to be the the super best. I mean, not only are you a killing machine, that very killing restores you so you can kill more. It's a beautiful, bloody, soul-wrenching (literally) cycle.

Reaver is amazing. A lot of games do necromancers wrong....I don't know if this game will. It has potential so I will have to see after release day. There are a lot of things and warrior skills that stack with Reaver skills that can make you a complete beast...probably in this game too if you combo the skills right....i guess we will ahve to see.
Mages are really good (especially with the AOE skills if FF is off), but yeah...Reaver power ![]()

I didn't get to pick my class before playing, but that might have been for the best. I ended up going with a tough lady wielding a massive battle axe known as the Reaver. What makes her fun is that the lower her health is, the more damage she's capable of dishing out. So it creates this very high-risk, high-reward situation where you're encouraged to dance along the razor's edge, just on the brink of death without completely going over.
Her abilities give her some flexibility in these situations, of course. One of those is called devour, and it essentially lets her syphon health from nearby enemies when things get a little too dangerous. That comes in handy considering that each player only gets two health potions to start out with, but of course it comes with the drawback of lower attack stats. Add in her massive, sweeping heavy attack that lands with a devastating thud and this class offers a nice balance of rewarding moment-to-combat combat and enough strategy to make it feel like you're not engaged in a fantasy turkey shoot."
