Playing as the Arcane Warrior would be great, even if it will be OP. Biower never nerfed Geth Infiltrator and then added AIU and Turian Ghost.

The scary thing is they DID nerf Geth Infiltrator at least twice. They nerfed hunter mode and tactical cloak. They also nerfed weapons.

Oh, that's a cool idea.

 

I would also humbly suggest a new Chasind Witch of the Wilds. I'm picturing a quasi-barbarian lady with braids and tattoos who wields curses and maybe earth magic (we'd need curses, though, and not sure if they're in). OOOHHH, or a Shapeshifting witch in the style of Morrigan (I maintain they could make shapeshifting useful).

 

I don't really expect new abilities from this, though.

I think that what we know right now:

 

Warriors:

Legionnaire - male dwarf sword/shield warrior

Katari - male qunari two handed warrior

Reaver - female race-unknown two-handed? warrior

 

Rogues:

Assassin - male human or elf? dual wield rogue

Archer - female? elf? ranged rogue

Alchemist - female dwarf dual wield rogue

 

Mages:

Keeper - female elf mage

Elementalist - male human mage

Necromancer - gender and race unknown

 

That would leave one spot left for each of the classes. 

 

There's gameplay footage of what looks to be a human or elf female templar (sword-shield), so I think that she's the last warrior.

 

There's also gameplay footage of a mage who looks a lot like Anders.  It's almost certainly not Anders and he doesn't look like the guy in the character selection picture for the elementalist (who looks like an old human with a grey beard).  So this guy is probably the Necromancer.

 

If the Arcane Warrior is also in, then it's probably a woman (since there are already two other guy mages) and she's probably the fourth mage.

 

The fourth rogue class is still up in the air.  We don't know anything about them.

Assassin - Female human or elf - Raised in Tevinter to be a weapon, bought and sold between royalty to kill people. dual wield rogue

Archer - Male, Human - aided but eventually kicked out by the Dalish. ranged rogue

 

Necromancer looks Female, and Arcane Warrior looks male Elf.

Also, the Elementalist - if you get a close look at his picture, doesn't have a beard - and you can change the armor sets. They probably changed the one he was wearing to better show him off. Also, he's got a shorn/short-haired head it looks like.

Im looking forward to this class.
Im thinking we will definitely have barrier as an ability, and knight enchanter talents. Maybe one missile type spell. So for example barrier, 2 knight enchanter abilities and the seeker missile spell.

I admit, I will be one of the many many people who will be an Arcane warrior.
However to mix it up, I will also play a meat shield provider ( necromancer) , little miss boom ( alchemist) and groupy ( keeper).

Arcane warrior was my favorite spec in DAO, it was kind of OP when mixed with blood mage.

I can not wait to play as AW. To be honest, I never made it through mutliple playthroughs of DA:O, so I have never taken the chance to play as one. However after today's Twitch stream, I started to wonder whether the AW in MP will still keep his tank-heavy demeanor from DA:O or if he will be the MP port of the SP Knight Enchanter spec.

 

If he is KE in Ancient Elven clothing, then everytime I reflect a projectile or spell with the Spirit Blade I am going to make the "whom whom" noise. An elegant weapon for a more civilized dragon age...
