MP achievements were denied
There was a leak of DAI achievements with exclusive MP achievements. Is that the case?[/size]

We will have a full challenge system implemented at launch, letting you pursue and track dozens of different challenges. Completing a challenge may also give you a reward. The challenge system will also be used to implement weekly operations. Every week, we will launch a new operation. Complete the operation, and you will receive a reward.

There are multiplayer achievements; they're what he's referring to when he talks about 'pursuing and tracking' challenges. It's an achievement system *within* MP.

The question is about the achievement list for Origin, which is different.

Considering it said no MP exclusive achievements I would assume that means no MP achievements, challenges and that are not the same.

ME MP had challenges and challenge awards as well. For example, because I killed X number of Cerberus mobs, I got a Cerberus Mastery banner, which the N7 HQ tells me is a 'challenge award.'

Completing that challenge also netted me 250 Challenge Points, and all my challenge points are totaled together and displayed by my name when I go into a lobby.

This strikes me as a very expansive achievement system, even if that's not what they call it. I kill X amount of creatures and get some points that I can compare against other gamers.

No a challenge award system, no achievements were ever gained from it. An achievement or trophy is completely different from a challenge award, granted both are highly engaging reasons to boost playability you will never hear me deny that, heck I am considering finishing up the 2nd Reaper banner myself, but one affects say gamerscore whereas challenges as you said yourself it gives challenge points.

My the Old Republic achievements don't affect my gamerscore. My Diablo III achievements don't affect my gamerscore. Even my singleplayer ME achievements don't affect my gamerscore as I'm on PC.

You understand that achievements predate the Xbox gamerscore, right? The 1989 Quest for Glory had a puzzle point system that went up to 500. You had to do a bunch of specific activities and quests that were both universal and class based. There were lists online of what each class needed to do and people tried to get 500 point playthroughs just because it was an achievement.

It was an example, but achievements actually do have an affect on origins, I got some and the score there went up. The challenge system is more of personal goals, whether they are for their awards or extra points, but will it affect trophies, origin score, or gamerscore, no it won't it will only affect in game score, nothing more, nothing less, you can call it a personally achievement sure, but anything beyond that has been denied. Do your in game challenges in me 3 MP affect your origin score when you log in and see the number, no it doesn't. Only in game. To be honest you are the only person I ever heard call a challenge an achievement.
