The lack of full character customization , is the only thing that has really put a downer on DAMP for me.

I'm a multiplayer only kind of guy, and DAMP looks like my cup of tea , Lots of classes, skills ,weapons and mods for items to make the build i like. 

 But giving people a cookie cutter race gender class restrictions irks me. I'm slowly getting my head around it and hoping game play and team work will make up for it.

 I've tried to get some friends interested in DAMP and when i mention you can only be female for this class and only Dwarf for that class, they say  i don't want to be a Dwarf this or a female that. 

 

Pretty much this. Limiting the player in his or her choices is never a good move, especially if it comes down to creating oneself's alter ego. I mean c'mon -- it's not like SP doesn't have a great character creation to boot with...

If you want to be your alter ego then play the single player. That's what it is there for.

I thought that no CC in MP would be fine if they looked somewhat like their illustrations.. 

 

But then I saw the Keeper (Not what I expected or wanted).

I'm not saying MP character customization should be as thorough as SP -- but choices to some degree (name, gender, build) would be preferable to pre-generated characters, which are a step backwards in my book.
