I would like to invite people of all skill levels, playstyles and platforms to join the Dragon Age Multiplayer group.  We are at 51 158 players and growing after one day of existence.  Mostly we are interested in helping people find others to play with but feel free to discuss the various aspects of multiplayer as well

Good news everyone!  Our little group has grown to 158 members but like all of the BSN we want MOAR!  Since my first post we've tripled in size and just the other day we added two IRC channels to talk and coordinate groups when DAMP.  Join our group to check out all the relevant info.  Things are still kinda quiet but that's to be expected at this time.

Q: Why ME3?

 

A: If DAMP was out we'd be playing that and many other DAMP players have ME3.

Q: Can I come earlier or later?/ These times suck?!

A. Absolutely! And sorry but this is when I can guarantee at least I will be around for people to team with on PC.

Q. No one showed up on <insert platform here>?!  This sucks?!

A. Sorry if you buy me <insert platform here> and a copy of ME3 for it I will play with you!

Well new to all this.  Last rpg I played like this was Neverwinter Nights on the PC.  Being told I can't join the group.  Hoping the game will be lots of fun.

 

I likely won't get as deep in the story as others seems to do as I play a variety of games but hopefully folks won't mind me playing these new coop missions.  Don't know how well I will be in developing my characters for combat so time will tell on that. :-)

Don't need a spellslinger? Im happy to feast on our enemies as a Reaver.

Hello, and welcome aboard. Don't worry about being new people always post amazing class builds to help out the new players.

 

Given the chance most people are pretty helpful in MP I find as long as the newb is willing to learn.  If you are new to online MP one of the first lessons you should learn is the difference between a newb and a noob/n00b.  The former is someone who is simply new and inexperienced and no matter their skill level they will learn to contribute to the teams success . The latter refuses to learn and plays to the detriment of their team.  Nobody minds the former and everyone hates the later. 

 

A couple of general rules of thumb when it comes to MP if you are new

 

1.) If you have a mic, introduce yourself, say your new and ask for tips.  Just the other day I got a little grumpy with someone in The Last of Us MP because they were killing other players before we could interrogate them.  They spoke up and let me know they just forgot and I apologized because sometimes I make the same mistakes.

 

2.) Play a class that can take care of itself.  Usually this is some combination of DPS (damage per second)/tank or a support character who isn't overly frail.  Leave the more complicated and frail characters that live on the knifes edge till you got the basics down.

 

On the ME3 MP difficulty scale I'd say I was a gold quality player.  I could play platnium and not force the team to lose but others would do the heavy lifting and silver would still be fun and challenging enough.  So far it seems we've got all types and I look forward to playing with all the PC players!

A way for some of the forums player to play with each others and meet up.  Also it helps out where they can find social fun, semi  or full on serious forum people. any how. I am just repeating what you said at the start. XD

I still play a lot of ME3 MP and this sounds like it's going to be very similar so I'm looking forward to Inquisitions release even more now.

Thank you to all who have joined so far.  Currently we are 2 people away from breaking the 100 member mark.  Got a good mix of people though obviously the older platforms have less people playing DAI on them.  Best way to fix that is more people so join us!
