From the sounds of things I've heard at least at this point everything is craftable.  The Crafting system is their system for directly working towards the item that you do want over the item that you don't want.  The Crafting system is a very RPG way to fix many of our problems with ME3's RNG even if it doesn't fix all of them.   If you want that two handed axe of pure awesome. Keep breaking down all that stuff you don't want to get the parts.  This kind of is your system of paying more to buy what you do want instead of hoping it will eventually drop for you.

Though if you have my luck. About two matches after you finally craft that axe of pure awesome.  The game will drop it for you and leave you with nothing better to do than to break it down and get less mats out of it than what was put into it for making something else.

And since this is an MMO. We don't really have to worry about getting that raid dungeon only mat to craft our item.  Though I'm sure higher difficulties will increase your chances of getting some rarer mats.

The two biggest problems I had with ME3's multiplayer were the rare store cap and the payment system. It bothered me when I eventually hit the point in multiplayer where I had everything but ultra rare weapons and because of this nearly every single pack I bought from then on ended in me receiving two weapon rounds or something that only lasted one game that I never really used. The other being that there was absolutely no loot or hidden credits in the level making it even harder to get the funding or gear you want.

However, looking past the fact that the RNG store made a comeback and I am receiving it as well as Japan does whenever Godzilla shows up to say "Hi", the salvage system and the looting system in each raid is a vast improvement in comparison to the previous system. All in all I'd say that this seems like fun.

It'd be nice to see some multiplayer gameplay or a demo though since every youtuber, but a few, is using the exact same footage on the same map with the same characters.

I hope it's a bit easier to make money this time around, or perhaps I should say easier to get things. Spending twenty-thirty minutes in an epic fight for my life in a Gold match, finally extract and when I go to collect my reward, all I get is a crappy upgrade card for a character I never use. It made the whole thing feel like a grind.

I'm pretty sure that the multiplayer rewards/crafting will not be as tedious as ME3 random item process.  The crafting system will give you the ability to set your character apart from others in a more self-rewarding fashion.

The element of surprise is nice, mastering weapons / other stuff & equimpent, but... I STILL have few weapons to master in ME3 and I've been playing mp for around 650 hours. New content and support for one year like in ME3 is a must for me (and free for that matter would be nice). Boxes with new random stuff with chances to get more powerfull equipment depending on game currency probably is nice.

Just try not to go overboard with this in terms of prices of the boxes or leveling up stuff to the infinity and beyond, hm? :)

I usually dislike randomness, but if the salvaged stuff allow us to do the main things, like unlocking the classes, then I think it will be OK.

So you can craft things, but do you get schematics for things you can craft through the same RNG system as drops?

I don't think so, but Bioware stated we could expect new schematics in weekend events.
